  • The real deal
I think the acog is making a strong comeback in the era of LPVO's when a magnified primary optic is needed. The toughness, weight, glass clarity and FOV are simply unrivaled by any LPVO I've seen or used. Especially LPVO's that are <$2k. Yeah, it's fixed 4x, and yeah the eye relief is on the short side (but nowhere near as "bad" as I thought it was going to be), but the glass clarity is SO GOOD. As is the BDC crosshair reticle. For a 5.56/.223 AR, this plus an offset RMR is the way for a "do it all" optic setup. I've had some 1-6x LPVO's that the community would regard as "quality" - all around the same price tag as this acog - and none of those LPVO's were as clear, or had the reticle sharpness this acog does. Plus they were all heavier and took up the same/more amount of space an acog AND offset RMR do. Also considering I basically always used minimum, or, maximum power on LPVO's, and the fact that it's faster to transition to an offset red dot than it is to dial down a LPVO, I don't really see the point of LPVO's anymore. ... show more

  • THERE IS A REASON OUR BOYS OVERSEAS LOVE THIS
Amazing piece of equipment. Well worth the price. If you cant afford one, then save up because no other optic will ever compare. Whether it be ease of use, clarity, eye relief, illumination in all light conditions, or the sturdiness this optic has no faults. Directly out of the box, i was putting 30 for 30 out of my boomstick at 100yrds with 10mph winds on a 6" target. The attached photo is me at 200 yrds with 5mph wind 10 shots in 2 min. This came with everything that it should from the manufacturer including the nice carrying case and the neoprene sleeve for it when its on the rifle. Another awesome thing, this is completely battery-less with fiber-optic lighting during the day and iridium for the night. Also this model has the ability to add the RMR which is trijicons red-dot sight to the top. ... show more

  • One shot
I bought this scope a few years ago. Still mounted to my rifle, the glass is still really clear it holds up really well to the saltwater environment and harsh winter in my home town. Holds zero dropped it a few times oops but never questioned it. Well worth it

  • I took the risk, it is authentic, read on.
So having read a lot of the reviews regarding counterfeit ACOGs, I was a little worried about getting ripped off myself. I know how good Amazon's return policy is, so I decided to take a risk. I figured, if I got scammed, I'd just return the counterfeit and be on my merry way. After some google searches, I read in a LOT of places that most counterfeit products have been coming from 3rd parties, or "used" condition merchandise, so... I made SURE that this purchase was "sold and shipped by Amazon.com" and was NEW. Lo and behold, I'm now the proud owner of an authentic Trijocon ACOG. I received it today. The serial numbers are where they should be (I partially covered them, but see pics), brand is forged in, glass is AMAZING. I included pics of the reticle in both light and pitch dark conditions, though none at far away objectives. I could not get my phone's camera to focus crisply in the dark, but I wanted mainly to capture the tritium and fiber optics working as they should be. Other users have posted great reviews about the ACOG, which are absolutely accurate. My goal with this review is to prove, which i feel I have, that you can buy an authentic product. Don't let the first couple reviews scare you away into spending unnecessary cheddar. I'm not discounting them; just buy safely. I received nothing whatsoever for this review. Just wanted to help. ... show more

  • I Love It!
Authentic trijicon brand sight and at a good price. I've tried cheaper optics and I've tried equally expensive eotechs with magnifiers. There is no comparison. Trijicon is the best optic out there.
