Did someone say Camel 🐫 or Caramel velvetilicous?! I took a chance on buying this buttery soft, almost 300 threadcount, extra king size velvet duvet after being disappointed with my Target Casaluna duvet purchase in the same color. Who knew that for 50% less, I would be getting the Fall duvet of my dreams?! Goodbye target, hello Amazon! Now for the deets: Quality is 4.5/5. Took away .5 as the velvet material is pretty thin, but not see through. Am keeping my fingers crossed it will hold up in the wash. It has four ties for your comforter and has buttons for closure, yet a zipper closure would have been a nicer touch. Stitching is good. There were no lose threads. The pillow cases open from the middle back and easy to insert your pillows. If you have feather pillows, any loose feathers will not poke through. Let me also address some of the various comments regarding this set: 1. if you use a comforter that is NOT the same size of the duvet, it will bunch up or slide around inside the duvet even if you use the ties. Before purchasing, make sure you compare the size of your comforter FIRST to the size of the duvet before purchasing. A duvet cover is not meant to be a sheet nor a quilt. It is meant to have a comforter inside of it. 2. Yes, this duvet is on the thin side, but no thinner than a regular duvet cover. I actually prefer this as when you put the comforter inside it allows for better temperature control. Has anyone tried sleeping in velvet pajamas under a comforter, especially a down comforter?! Unless it's dead winter, you will sweat your butt off. Therefore thin cover (as long as it's quality) + the right comforter = perfection 👌🏾. 3. When washing, always turn your duvet inside out along with your pillow cases. This helps to reduce pilling with this type of fabric. I always air dry my duvets to make them last much longer. Don't laugh, but after washing I put it over my dining room table to dry overnight. 4. To address the wrinkles after washing or when opening the set, if you have a dryer with a "wrinkle release" setting, use it. if not, spray the comforter lightly with water and put it inside your dryer on the lowest setting for 5 mins. Overall, I highly recommend this set and have no regrets with this purchase. If you're wondering, the four throw pillow covers that match this set are from an Amazon vendor named FUTEI in the color brown, size 26x26. The throw is from Target, purchased the week of Aug 2024 for $29 on sale. Amazing that both matched the duvet set. Happy shopping and happy Fall!

The color is exactly as pictured in the photo, the price is right, and it is easy to take on and off the duvet. The cover is also super soft, washes well, and fits as expected. They are very warm - so perfect for winter, and we ended up taking the duvet out and just using the cover in the spring when temperatures were higher, but not warm enough to warrant air conditioning.

So the photos from previous purchasers and from the company itself honestly cannot really speak for how spectacular this product is in reality. I was honestly quite surprised with the quality and just how soft this is. Last night was my first night sleeping with this gem and let me tell you, it was hands down the absolute BEST sleep I have had in probably my whole life. This duvet cover was just what my life was missing! It should be rated #1 on Amazon’s Choice list because the quality alone makes this worth the $80 something I spent on it. I had been searching for a duvet cover that meets my expectations for quite some time now. Most of the ones that are top rated on here have mixed reviews with some saying how it was not as great as it was portrayed, or how it started to come apart and deteriorate after a few washes. Although I have only washed it once, it seems to be exactly the same as when I took it out of the package. I ordered it in White. I am thinking about ordering a backup though because you really cannot go wrong with buying this. It will seriously change your life and quality of your sleep for sure! It fit beautifully over my queen size Buffy Cloud alternative down comforter (& for any of you who suffer from getting too hot in your sleep, the Buffy Cloud comforter is made from Eucalyptus fibers which help keep you cool, yet warm during the warmer months. It is not too fluffy yet has the right amount of fluff to be comfortable. So anyone that needs a lovely comforter of quality to go inside this duvet, order you a Buffy Cloud. I got mine from Bed Bath & Beyond because they were on sale a month ago for just $70 compared to $150. A friend of mine recommended it and I am so glad I listened.) Anyway, for those hesitant to buy this duvet cover, don’t be! You will find yourself loving it’s softness and will probably sleep better than you have your whole life just like I have. (Another note— it is not really “velvet” but it’s better than that. It’s texture is very hard to describe besides it being soft)

I really wanted to keep this duvet. There are no words for how silky, soft it was. Here were my issues with it: 1) I fell in love with the color haze blue, but once received, I realized that the color looked different from different places in the room, 2) It is ridiculously oversized. I figured I could live with the additional 2 feet on each side, but the additional 2 feet at the foot of the bed wouldn't work with my sleigh bed. Not sure what the manufacturer was thinking. 3) It has to be hung dry. A twin could probably be thrown over the shower rod, but where am I supposed to hang a queen? Again, not sure what the manufacturer was thinking. Really sad :( It was sooooo soft.
