I had to switch the earbuds to foam (purchased separately) in an attempt to make these noise cancelling. They are not noise cancelling. On the upside, the behind-the-ear wires are very adjustable, they have good range and battery life is excellent. They connect easily to computer, tablet or phone. 12/21/20 UPDATE: Raising my original 3-star review to 4 stars! Not long after posting my original review (see below) I was contacted by Marina, a Senior Customer Care Agent, and she was a pleasure to work with. I essentially restated to her what I'd written below, and she immediately offered to replace my defective pair of earbuds with a brand new pair. Her communications were clear and quick, she followed up when necessary, and I received the replacement earbuds soon after her initial contact with me. So far the replacements are working perfectly well, and they'll be my go-to pair for personal listening. I was very impressed with how well Marina treated me as a customer, and it was a reminder of how rare good customer service can be these days. I'm grateful to her for being to easy to work with! These earbuds are really a great value for the price, and knowing that they have the backing of quality customer service makes them a very strong contender in a crowded marketplace. __________________________________ Original review: Decent sound and fit, just don’t expect them to last too long. When these headphones were working correctly I enjoyed them quite a bit; the ear loops kept them in place and the sound was decent enough for what they are. I also had very few connection problems over the Bluetooth, and initially I was pleased with my purchase. I only wore these while working on projects around the house or cleaning my car, so they were never put through any rigorous workouts or extremely sweaty activities. They were also never exposed to the elements, such as rain or prolonged sun exposure. It wasn’t until they were about four months old that they began acting up. Sometimes right after being fully charged they would connect to my phone and then immediately disconnect and appear to power down, and the only way I could get them to turn on again was to charge them for some additional time. On several occasions they would disconnect from my phone but the power indicator light would still be on, and while holding down the power button I was unable to turn them off or put them into discovery mode to reestablish a connection with my phone. Also, when I wasn’t able to turn them off no matter how long I held down the power button, I would just have to set them aside and let the battery drain, then recharge them again. These events did not happen constantly, but certainly often enough to become an inconvenience and make me wonder if they are even going to turn on again the next time I need them. Had I gotten at least a year’s worth of use out of these I wouldn’t have been so disappointed, and I most likely would’ve bought them again. However, since I’ve only had them for about five months and they’re already failing I will be looking to replace them with something from another brand. ... show more

I bought these to replace a set of Treblab XR500s that finally gave up after 2 years of daily use at work. I am a mechanic by trade and was impressed with the quality of the XR500s in a rough environment. It was an easy choice to go back to Treblab for my next set. I saw the improved Bluetooth and battery life of the XR700s and made my choice. They arrived in a nice case with a variety of ear tips and a charging cable-brick not included. Pairing is simple and quick and I was listening to music within 2 minutes of opening the package. I’ve used these for about 3 weeks now and feel I can give a good review. First- the earhooks have a wire in them and are form-able vs the floppy rubber of the XR500s. I actually liked the floppy rubber because I take these off to talk to customers multiple times a day. That being said after a few tweaks I’ve managed to get the wire into a good position for all day use. It feels very solid and the rubber is comfortable. Bluetooth 5 technology was underwhelming. I was expecting more range but my experience has been actually less range than the XR500s. Still over 30 feet, so realistically fine. I work around vehicles in a metal building and the old earbuds seemed to go to about 70 feet before cutting out. The XR700s start cutting out at about 40 feet, especially in the shop environment. It’s not been a problem, I was just hoping to leave my phone on my desk as I move around. Sound quality is a big improvement I have noticed on the XR700s. Podcasts and music are clear and precise. I don’t listen to heavy base but normal listening never gets any distorted notes. I have found that with the foam tips I can play my music much lower and still hear a broad range of music. These can get loud enough to cause ear pain so be careful with your hearing. I use these to call people regularly and have heard from friends that they are clear-er than my old ones as well. The buttons and body are almost the same as the XR500s. The only noticeable difference is the main side button is dished in slightly on the XR700s vs the raised button on the XR500s. This is one of my only complaints. I wear nitrile gloves and cannot feel the very minor dish of the button and end up just jamming the side with my finger trying to hit it. Without gloves it’s still a bit hard to feel. Battery life on the new XR700s is amazing. With my old set of XR500s I would have to charge them at lunch to finish out a full day. The XR700s run strong all day and I haven’t yet had them quit before finishing a day. That’s a full day of podcasts, music, and multiple calls interspersed. This alone is worth the upgrade. If I need another set of headphones in the next year I would have trouble choosing between the XR500s and the XR700s. Both are well built and do a good job. The range loss of the XR700s is made up for in sound quality and an amazing battery life. There is currently no price difference between the two of them. I am happy with the choice of Treblab and would recommend them to anyone. ... show more
