I bought this as a support for my queen sized Purple memory foam mattress because mattresses such as these really need some kind of flat platform as opposed to traditional box springs and/or traditional bed frames that the underside of the memory foam mattress will sag into between the widely spaced slats/bars/wires of, leading to both accelerated deterioration of the memory foam and uneven levels of support across the bed. It worked perfectly for that purpose and allowed me to keep using my Zinus 18in wireframe platform bed (which is GREAT for storage in that up to six full sized plastic storage totes can slide right under it, hidden by a bed skirt) instead of buying a super expensive purpose-built memory foam mattress "platform" from one of the brand name manufacturers with half the utility of the former. All that said, it is simply a series of cheap wooden slats enclosed in a cheap fabric using a combination of visible staples and minimal stitching, so it is very much a utilitarian item and something best positioned UNDER a bed skirt as to hide it from view. While it did meet my specific need, and I would probably recommend it over similar products with even lower production value, at a whopping $80 I think it's substantially overpriced for what it is, and I'm kind of surprised that no competitor is willing to offer such a profoundly simple and cheap-to-produce high-demand niche product at a lower cost than this. ... show more

Received item two days early. Really sturdy and well made. These grey cloth covered vertical slats works perfectly over my horizontal slats which are bare wood and I wanted to protect my mattress which doesn't require a box spring. The only question I have is why was the inside of the plastic bag it was shipped in damp ? I laid the slats out in the open for a bit so the cloth could dry out. No assembly required. The wood is good quality, and the inter compartment sewing for each slat is good. The top of the thing is not sewn, but attached with heavy staples to the last wood slat. But it is easy to use and solved a tricky problem with an antique twin bed missing the old box spring. I just added some non slide strips so it would not slide off the side rails. Price per unit was incredibly good. Thank you. *Be sure to read the descriptions to be sure the size it's correct for your needs. I almost ordered Twin XL 39"x80", but upon measuring the bed, realized the regular 39"x75" was a better fit for the side rail length. ... show more

I did not realize the slats were so far apart, and had to buy two of them in order to adequately cover the Zinus base; ie, I shifted the top one over so the slats fell into the bottom slots.

Easy to setup as they are linked together by canvas like cloth. holding up well on a frame that was too small to support a Queen sized mattress. Only thing is that the boards do move up under the mattress so you have to slide them back out from the foot of the bed once in a while. This helped prevent that, but the product had a weird wet spot and one of the planks was uneven and I think it broke a bit? However it was a cheap fix up to a crappy platform frame.
