  • Good product
This is really nice! It wasn’t as heavy as I was expecting a bunch of wood slats to be so I easily brought it upstairs by myself. I set it up on my platform bedframe and while the Velcro in the center is a nice idea, as soon as the mattress touched it it came apart. The slats are very slippery and slide on my metal bed frame. To remedy this I am probably going to drill holes in the end slats on each half and connect it to the bedframe with zip ties. All in all, this made my squeaky frame a little quieter and is also preventing my memory foam mattress from sinking between the bars. ... show more

  • Added Support
I recently purchased an all metal platform bed with a lovely headboard I wanted to show so I got rid of my box spring. Unfortunately the frame didn’t give as much support as I hoped, so I bought a 4inch box spring. Still too high to show the headboard, so I looked at other support options. Found this and despite skepticism I ordered. For a queen bed, received 2 sections with 4 slats in each. They were definitely sturdy but not difficult to put on the bed. Stretched out, the 2 sections did not meet the full width, but I spread it out as evenly as possible. They are not secure on the bed, so sliding the mattress on will cause the slats to move. Had my son help me “lay” the mattress over the sections and the weight of it held the supports in place. It added the right amount of support I was looking for but was still able to display the headboard. It’s certainly worth what I paid and satisfied with the product, even with the gaps. The gaps don’t seem to affect the support and despite being unsecured, it doesn’t slide. Glad I bought it. ... show more

  • Bunkie Board Slats
My latex mattress weighs a ton and the manufacturer states that it should not be on a slatted bed frame. It needs a solid surface. With that, I just purchased a wonderful metal bed frame with slats which run horizontally, and I bought these Bunkie Board Slats which run vertically to completely support my heavy mattress. There will be no sagging with these. There was one caveat: the center board was badly warped. The heavy weight of the mattress will flatten it out in due time. These boards are nicely attached in a fabric which keeps them in line. ... show more

  • They work
I have an ikea MALM bed with horizontal slats. Over time my mattress began to sink and became extremely uncomfortable. I bought these slats to reinforce the current slats as they go the other direction. They work great so far. I am worried that air won’t pass through the fabric sleeve the slats are in and they will make the bed hot in the summer or possibly mold. If that begins to happen I will just cut the fabric sleeve off. You could definitely just buy a sheet of plywood and cut it into the right size slats instead of buying this for much cheaper but this is also a great choice. ... show more

  • I wish…
I wish this didn’t slip around so much. When you’re trying to out the mattress on top of it, it wants to move a lot. Once it’s settled it’s great. It does cause my mattress to move off the platform easily if it’s leaned on.

  • Heavy Duty Vertical Mattress Support Wooden Bunkie
It a good thing that our new mattress is coming on Friday. Because, we are going to have to open up each slat holder and cut them down to size. I ordered a Queen size, which would be around 60 inches in length. This arrived at a length of 75 inches. Because we are in a time crunch it was faster to cut them rather then send them back. The other really strange thing, when we opened the box the material was wet. Now it was wrapped in plastic, so maybe it was condensation from green wood. At any rate we let it dry out before we started to break down the bed. ... show more
