    • BUYER BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! First time writing a review! My son’s disappointment lead me to do it. 1. The advertisements make it appear that this product can be driven through rocks, rough terrain, and ramped over objects without being destroyed. In reality it will break within 30 minutes of hitting the smallest object. My son saved for months and drove it for 15 minutes before the first break. 2. After the vehicle broke he spent his remaining $35 (he is 13 years old) for what he believed to be the correct part. It was not the correct part. When I called to discuss a return they were going to require us to pay for shipping and a 15% re-stocking fee. After voicing my frustration over how quickly the item broke they sent us the stock part (cheap, plastic standard pieces) free of charge (thank you). However it took nearly two weeks to arrive, and we never received tracking information so we were left to wonder if it was actually coming? 3. Once the part arrived my son drove the vehicle for another 5 minutes before another part broke. Once again he was driving it in our driveway and not attempting to ramp anything. The vehicle hit a small rock and that was it. The videos on Dude Perfect and in ALL their ads makes it appear that the vehicle is capable of handling rough terrain. It is not. False advertising. 4. I called again to complain about the lack of quality and how devastated my child was after spending several hundred dollars to hardly drive the vehicle before it once again, broke. The first person I spoke to was very rude, defensive, and unapologetic. He told me, “sounds like you didn’t do your research before purchasing the item”. I should have said, “I guess the research would have shown me how fragile your product is…?” He basically hung up on me. I called again and the next person I spoke with was nicer and did agree to send us another stock (cheap/plastic/original part) free of charge. We will see if this actually happens. 5. My expectation is the part will arrive, my son will fix it, and drive the vehicle for 5 minutes before it breaks again. 6. They sell lots of “upgrade” parts for more $$$. This vehicle is basic with plenty of fragile plastic parts that crack and bend the moment they hit the slightest object. You don’t expect that when paying this much and it’s not made clear in ANY of their ads. 7. It’s a money pit as you constantly have to buy more parts from TRAXXAS to make the vehicle drivable. 8. Once you buy the vehicle you are stuck. If you try to return it they will charge you a 15% re-stocking fee and you have to pay for shipping. 9. The vehicle overheats easily and doesn’t come with any cooling system on the motor. The vehicle will get really hot within 5minutes of driving. 10. Don’t waste your money and certainly don’t encourage your child to use their entire savings on this horrible product. They will end up heartbroken, frustrated and out of a couple HUNDRED dollars. ... show more
