Tough skid plates protect the bulkheads and driveline inside a rigid backbone. The thick skid plates interlock for a clean appearance and snag-free performance in the wild. Maxx Slash lowers the center of gravity and extends the wheelbase for responsive handling and 70+ mph high-speed stability. Rugged clips keep the body secure with additional side supports in the nerf bars. A tough inner cage supports the body with ventilation channels to reduce high-speed lift. Traxxas engineers relied on years of real-world testing with the nearly indestructible Maxx as inspiration for Maxx Slash’s revolutionary chassis design. Hex-reinforcements cover nearly every flat surface for exceptional rigidity. An ultra-tough composite structure of interlocking components allows the chassis to absorb massive shocks while retaining its tight tolerances. Wide-face steel drive gears and huge 1.5 mod differential gears are incredibly strong and durable. A metal housing helps the Torque-Biasing Center Drive stay cool for consistent performance. Maxx SC belted tires limit high-speed tire expansion for a larger, flatter contact patch and game-changing precision. Tire uniformity is critical for stability, especially at 70+ mph. Hybrid driveshafts feature steel cores wrapped in durable nylon composite where strength is critical. Large-diameter splined half shafts provide smooth-running telescopic action and extended travel. Oil-filled GT-Maxx shocks provide super plush damping with large diameter shock shafts, double X-ring seals, and machined aluminum bodies for extra durability.
