I have purchased quite a few F540 motors for older vintage 1/10 scale buggies as they generally provide very good performance for the price and good options for lighter vehicles, powered with a 2S lipo. This comes packaged in a rebranded Surpass box - which is not a bad thing. The box protects the motor well and a clip-on heatsink for a 540 motor is included. I have not found this necessary when the motor is geared properly. Power with the analyzer was pretty good - about 3690kV and 26905 RPM at 7.3V / 2.3A. That is better than average for these type of motors on Amazon and RPM would increase with a fully charged Lipo. Based on the above, if this is ever around $20-$22, it is a good buy if you intend to run 2S and have a lighter vehicle. I cannot stress that while it is often mentioned in the description, do not run these on 3S. If you want to do that, but a standard 540 brushless 4 pole motor. ... show more

I was in the market for a cheap motor for my son's " toy "(losi that he kept wrecking) car. This did not fit the bill for any car. I did find another motor that came with a programmer for a comparable price and it worked out just fine as a toy.

Soo far the motor has run without issue on 2s and 3s! The heat sink that came with it helped significantly in keeping the more at safe temperatures but of course it all depends on how you run your vehicle. Very pleased!!

I wish I new I was going to half to change pretty much all my electronics once I bought this witch I wasn't aware of and no where did it say any of this I had to find out the hard and long way said it was for my car but wasn't as easy as switching out just the motor witch is what they make it seem here it is months later and ots more money gone I'm still having trouble with it running right so unless u really no ur stuff I wouldn't upgrade motor just stick with the same until u do there's other easier ways to make more speed or tourque. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Wow! Turned my redcat drift into absolute tire eater! Running 2200mah 3S with no issues,paired with a dynamite fuze esc. I beat on it so I got fancy and ordered 1.9 rock crawler beadlock rims and now I just tire change about every 3rd bash sesh. No issues with motor. I'm guessing I've put about 7hrs on it so far. ... show more

running a hobbywing 10lb60 esc with this motor and very impressed with it running a 11t pin with a 57 spur on a 2s battery with very little coggin while crawling
