  • Don't buy. Broke less than 24 hours.
After 24 hours started hearing a clicking sound. Within 48 hours it no longer worked. I contacted Amazon and they set up a replacement unit to be shipped out. However I then received a call from Traxxas that they don't accept returns or send replacements and I was out of luck. And that if I tried returning it I would be hit with a hefty restocking fee. They also said it was my fault it stopped working within 2 days??? I drove the remote control car without abuse and normally just like anyone else would. It should have lasted longer than two days, especially at this price point. Don't waste your time and money. ... show more

  • Great support
Appears the product was well received and exciting to use. The issue we had was the controller trigger fell out. Value, use, speed are worthy for the short time we were able to use it.

  • In my opinion, the best for beginners
I bought mine from a local store. It is actually my 2nd LaTrax. My first one is a LaTrax Rally. This Teton is great! The handling is so good and it is very easy to maneuver. It is actually so much better than my LaTrax Rally. This is so much easier to make sharp turns. Since it is wider and higher it flips a lot less than my other RCs. The chasis also does not get dirty very easily. If you are a first timer for RC, or you just came from remote control toy, this is a very good to start with. I recommend that you buy a spare battery. Here is the item number of the battery. Traxxas 2925x. Shop around, it is around $20. A fully charged battery will give you around 20-25 minutes run. This Teton is also very easy to clean. Definitely it is highly recommended. To have a peace of mind, get a warranty here at Amazon. All local stores anywhere will not accept returns when the box is opened. But with mine, I have no issues at all. It is worth every penny! ... show more

  • A Great Starter RC Truck BUT Be Ready to Upgrade & Replace Parts!
We have had a "blue" body LATRAX Teton now for about a year. It is a great professional starter RC truck for younger kids mainly because it comes ready out of the box to race. However, be ready to upgrade and replace parts almost immediately (this is normal with real RC vehicles). Within the first month I had to replace the shocks and two drive shafts because they either broke or were damaged from us driving it over unsafe terrain. The Teton will definitely last longer used on flat surface with no debris. I do recommend getting a second battery and a Traxxas EZ Peak charger however. Overall I do recommend this RC but just be prepared to invest some money in better parts. ... show more

  • Breaks down all the time and I've had it 8 days
I bought it for my son after his last cheap rc broke within 3 days. I figured 150 bucks would get me a remote that would break eventually but he'd get a few months out of it. So far in 8 days both control arms on the front tires have broke. I replaced all the controls arms with steel replacements. Im missing a shock boot. There plastic ball joints don't hold too well. The motor whines loudly but that sounds like I can clean it. Now my ground wires that connects to the battery wire broke so Ill have to fix that connection. I literally spend more time fixing it then its worth. Pretty much everything is made out of plastic. I would have expected aluminum axles for durability but I'm just waiting for those to break now. ... show more
