From the rush of closed- circuit rally-cross to wide-open European rally racing, the Traxxas Rally replicates the full-throttle excitement of the full-size machines and their dynamic racing style. And since rally races don't slow down for rain or snow, neither does the Traxxas Rally. Waterproof electronics allow rain-or-shine racing for even more realism and fun.     • Not like a slash anymore
I bought this soley to put a bldc motor and other upgrades into, to make it a cheap slash 4x4. The old rally used to be the same as the slash besides bumpers, however now the rally has shorter and differently designed A arms, plastic center drive shaft, a new "torque control" clutch, and worst of all is now running 48p gears. This made it it's own vehicle fully separate from the slash. Lastly, unrelated, you can no longer buy a rally in a brushless configuration from Traxxas, which I'm glad because their motor/ESC combo is far worse than anything I've ever used. ... show more

Super fun little car. My advice, get a dust cover. I made the mistake of not doing that and the internals got caked in dirt and debris. Stripped gears after four or five times out. Probably how I was driving it. Going to be replacing and upgrading to more durable parts. The upgradability of this platform is one of the best parts of it:) love the fiesta st cover! I got this one in particular because I have a Focus ST and it was significantly more cost effective than the Ken Block HPI offering. My kids love driving it ... show more

This was my first hobby grade rc and I must say, this is an absolute BLAST. Out of the box it would spin the tires on dry pavement/concrete. Had decent speed and suspension travel. Do realize though, when you buy this you will need to buy the charger and battery because it is not included with this car. That is the biggest issue I've had. As mentioned in other reviews, it does NOT come with a battery. Bought a lipo battery to go with it and it is amazingly fast out of the box. Car looks cool. Awesome car by Traxxas!

This little thing is a blast! Don’t worry about the brushed motor you can upgrade to a brushless at your local hobby shop for a good price.
