I bought this to take as carry-on for Icelandair, which has one of the most strict restrictions of any airline. According to their website (as of 2023), the maximum dimensions for a carry-on are 21.6x15.7x7.8 inches (55x40x20 cm) with a 22 lbs (10 kg) weight limit. Travelpro lists this at 21.75x15.75x7.75 inches including the wheels and handle. That fraction of an inch difference for height and width doesn't make a difference in Icelandair's sizer when the carry-on isn't packed fully or expanded. However, since this is a soft-sided luggage, when it's packed, even if not overstuffed, the front face will bulge a little a may put the depth over the size limit. We had two extremely unfriendly Icelandair gate agents at Sea-Tac scrutinize this carry-on, saying that it had to checked. Once we took out a couple of items, it met the limit when pushed against the sizer wall. After they gave us the tag that said the carry-on was accepted, we just put everything back in. Of course, there was plenty of space in the overhead bins, so I'm not sure whey Icelandair insists on such a strict size limit. On the return flight from Keflavik, none of the gate agents gave the carry-on a second look. The main reason for docking a star from this is that it's poorly balanced. It has a tendency to fall over, even when the weight inside is distributed toward the bottom and the back. It's just a flaw in the dimensions of suitcase. The same doesn't happen with the 21 inch spinner, even when that one is packed so it is top-heavy.

Bought this as a gift for my sister who travels ALOT. She does coast to coast all the time and she even called me after the first few trips to tell me how much she LOVED the suitcase. I wish I had the video when she face-timed me playing with it, really can't say good enough things about it. Was just the right size for her long weekend trips. Fit business clothes and fun clothes to keep her warm leaving CA going to NY and DC. Seems to be durable and super easy to maneuver in big airports and around city streets and even the metros. Will see how the zippers hold up but so far seem to be doing great. I kind of wish I had gotten a different color instead of just black (like the rest of the world) but black fit her lawyer lifestyle.

I've taken on one trip and it's held up fine. I do miss extra zip pockets on the outside thought. There is one large one on the front, but not the other smaller ones also that I'm used to - not a big deal really. I got the 25 or 26" to accommodate my break-down hiking poles and they just barely fit. This bag holds a lot - I gave up the larger 28-30" bags and just carried this as a checked bag and a very small carry-on - it serves well for a few weeks. Yet to see how the fabric holds up over time. It does seem to be a sturdy bag.

I take forever deciding on purchases and this was no exception. I comb through tons of Amazon reviews and then bring up assorted reviews through internet searches. I get overwhelmed and have to take breaks to clear my head. So when I finally decided on this one it was a huge relief. I loved its appearance pulling it out of its box. It’s light enough for a disabled person to lift. The wheels are fantastic. They are so smooth and the bag moves with a push of a finger. I liked how the compartments were divided and the zippered top. The problem came when I packed it full and then had trouble with the zipper rounding the top corner. Yes, the bag was full, but the other side didn’t have the same problem. I had no choice but to take the bag with me, and I hoped this was a one time event. I chose this because I dislike checking a bag if I can get everything in a carryon. So I was carrying it through the security checkpoint and was shocked to see two bins down the exact purple bag! What are the odds, I wondered. I thought this would be a fairly rare suitcase. Boy was I wrong! If I hadn’t gone the extra mile and placed bright yellow luggage tags on my purple bag I could have had a luggage mixup on my maiden voyage! I thoroughly enjoyed how easy this was to navigate through the airport and up to the Airbnb I was staying at. But both times I unpacked and repacked had the same problem with the zipper at the same corner. I ended up returning it. I didn’t feel good about a problem zipper from the start. I was very disappointed.

It was light and manageable through the airports. There was plenty of room for my clothes on our 11 day trip. I also ordered an underseat personal bag to match this bag. Coupled with compression packing cubes, this bag has become an answer to my prayers. As I get older, travel becomes a little more challenging. I think this bag is going to be very helpful.

I have roller board Travel Pros (3 of them), and LOVE them, BUT, advice given online if traveling to Japan was to get a Spinner (4 wheeled) suitcase. It’s crowded and some places are tight on space. So I broke down & bought 2 of these, one for my husband. SO glad we got these. VERY lightweight and maneuverable. It is a bit tricky get them over the ridges in Japanese stations, but we learned to pick them up a bit to get over the speed bumps. Also, they looked so much smaller than my other bags, but really, they are only short by about an inch due to the wheels taking up that extra inch. So size is fine. I did really miss having the back outside pocket, but loved the lighter weight. Had no trouble putting into overheads myself. Great value; I recommend.

I needed a new carry-on suitcase. I am on the petite side, so wanted something compact and lightweight I could lift into the overhead bin. This suitcase is both, plus with a little judicious packing, it can hold enough to get me through a week or more. It meets pretty much all airlines' carry-on standards. The wheels move smoothly, making it easy to wheel down a narrow airplane aisle. The bright color choices allow you to pick out a suitcase that is going to stand out in baggage claim if you do end up having to check your bag.
