I was hoping this would be used to keep my home-made washes and constrasts wet, but I don't make them in enough volume to work. However, I can see that this thing seals very well (each cell has its own seal) and if you were to dump a full bottle (or at least fill the cell) with paint, the seal should keep it well moist. I just wanted to say moist. But anyway, if you used it with greater volumes than I do, I think you would actually be pleased with this. ... show more

    • Airtight but clips break
Bought this palette for gouache. Soon after I purchased it three of the six clips that lock the lid broke and were unusable. The lid still stays shut and, if I spray them often enough, the paints retain moisture. I'm hesitant to buy another one. I'd really like just to buy more clips.

Seriously, this is the best art supply I’ve bought in years! Painting with gouache can be a pain because the paint dries out so quickly. Sure, you can reconstitute it but that’sa pain and not great for my brushes. This little gadget is a stroke of perfection! Seals as tightly as possible and keeps the air out. My gouache stayed moist and ready for me whenever I was ready to do another layer. What a time saver! Buy one…you won’t regret it! ... show more

I like to return to my art project when in the mood. I like a dry proof palette that can hold my acrylics. This is amazing. Plus once you dispense the colors in the cubes you can move lot faster without worrying if they will dry. I love it.

This is such a great storage case for paint that a week later I am buying a second one! Last night I lightly sprayed the paint - and today you can still see little moisture beads.
