  • Game changer for painters!
Color: Wet Palette
I love this wet pallette! I mixed a small amount of some different colors I'm using to repaint a few messed up looking dollar tree fairies, and then purposely left them covered in the tray to see if they would be reusable. It's been 4 days and I'm painting with those same colors today, without having to add more paint or do any remixing. This is an absolute game changer for painters! I just wish I would have known about this years ago. I've already recommended it to some people and they'll be getting one. ... show more

  • Depends on your style and budget.
Color: Wet Palette
Wet palettes are great. Spent the last year using Tupperware, a sham wow sponge, and wax paper as a homemade alternative. Decided to bite the bullet and pay the money. What do you get? Tupperware, a sham wow sponge, and wax paper. I guess it holds brushes.

  • Works just as intended
Color: Wet Palette
I bought this to do some mini painting for dungeons and dragons. This pallet works well keeps the paint moist for upwards of 20-30 min in smaller blobs. Exactly what I was looking for.

  • Great Wet Palette - Correct Mix of Value for $$
Color: Wet Palette
Having read the reviews for this product I think there are a few things that need to be covered. First, the intention of a wet palette like this is NOT to keep your paints fresh indefinitely. It is meant to give you the proper thinning of your paints as you apply them. It can also provide you a perfect area for dynamic color mixing. It will allow you to keep your custom mixes for a period of time with proper storage and care. The size is perfect, the included sponge and parchment paper work well to provide properly thinned paints and to preserve those paints over an extended painting session. If you are using the right paint it will keep them wet and workable for several days......IF you store it properly (lid held on with the elastic band in a cool place). Storing in my house, which I keep at 68 degrees the palette has retained moisture for 4+ days (by then my paints had separated but the palette was still good to go). The brush storage area is a nice bonus and works well with army painter brushes and has an area for normal round handle brushes as well. All in all it's a good package, yes you can accomplish the same thing with some parchment paper, paper towels, and any plastic container, but this is a neat clean package that stores well. It's worth the money to me. Ignore the people complaining about the sponge being folded in half for shipping. it has zero impact and you won't even notice it once you wet the sponge for use. Chalk it up to one of those things people complain about for no real reason. Pros: It does the job well Has brush storage built in Solid construction that fits together well Includes two sponges and a lots of parchment paper (enough supplies for a LONG time) Will retain water and save paints overnight for several nights (though there are better wet palettes for 2x the price that can do it better) This is a sweet spot in value for the dollar Cons: You can DIY something that will work every bit as well as this for less than 5 dollars It would not have been hard for them to add a rubber o-ring to the lid which would allow it to keep even more moisture for longer periods of time Though it will stay wet for several days, most paints will suffer pigment separation after a few hours (blame the paint not the palette for that) ... show more

  • Average, don’t upgrade to it.
Color: Wet Palette
I used the standard wet pallet (white box, yellow sponge) with parchment paper for some time and decided to upgrade with this purchase. The look was sleeker, more compact and it had brush holders built it so why not? Well overall it functions as a wet pallet and if it was your first one and you use army only painter brushes go ahead and get it. The downside is the brush holder is too small to fit many other brands like AK and so on. Weirdly I struggling to get my paint consistency right compared to cheap parchment paper but hey that’s just me. It doesn’t snap closed which isn’t the end of the world. Again it’s not bad but after using it there was no need to move from the cheaper alternatives or something home made. ... show more

  • I was skeptical at first
Color: Wet Palette
but Now im a straight up believer. I used to paint off a piece of white porcelain. Did it for years that way, but got into model painting and saw everyone recommending Wet Pallets. This one is the perfect size for what I use, any bigger and it'd just be too big for me. The value you get in wet pallet is crazy, you dont have to rush because your paint isnt going to dry out in 10 minutes, heck with this wet pallet Ive used the same paint for 3-days straight. The paper seems to allow the paint to "suck up" the water, so to some extent its thinning itself a little bit, which is great because 2 thin coats are better than 1 thick one. The time you get by not racing the drying paint clock, makes this absolutely worth it. There are very few products I can say "will actually make you better" this one will and its easily explainable.... you get to take your time without worrying about your paint drying out. Spend the money, its absolutely worth the upgrade from your piece of tile. ... show more
