This bushing also fits a 2017 Ford Fusion in addition to the listed models. Access to the cable can vary depending on engine compartment layout, so some versions it may be easier to install on than others. The installation of the bushing was relatively straightforward but required minor disassembly on my car. I had to disconnect the air supply box and a few other components to reach the cable. The bushing is very small – be careful not to drop it. If it falls, there’s no easy way to retrieve it without removing additional parts, which makes installation much more difficult. The kit includes grease to help with installation, but the piece still requires some force to seat fully. Instructions are included, but I found watching a video made the process easier to follow. The included cap helps keep the bushing in place and protects it from debris. The bushing is well-made and feels sturdy. Perfect fit for 2015 Ford Fusion. Under the hood is so crowded that installation was a bit tricky. But, that's on Ford sending more than a decade of cars off the line with a vital component they knew to be faulty. The part showed up quickly and fit exactly as it was supposed to.

Perfect Fit! This is the second I bought for my 2016 Fusion. I replaced the factory one almost two years ago and it’s still working great. Saw the price drop on this one and decided to buy a spare for the glove box rather than end up stranded with a busted shifter bushing. Seems to be a better material than the one Ford used when the car was built. That said, I prefer to keep a spare! ... show more

    • The coolest little part I never knew I needed, until...
I had the dreaded shift linkage failure error pop up on my 2017 Fusion. Thinking the worst, I went to YouTube and found the problem is such a simple fix, anyone who can change oil on a car is probably qualified to fix this. The first video I watched had a link back to this item. The total time on the original YouTube video was a little optimistic in my case, but even in freezing temperatures I was able to install this in under an hour. If you have one of the vehicles listed in this header and you are even slightly mechanically inclined, you would be well advised to buy one of these and tuck the small box in your glove compartment. The question is not if the factory part will fail, but when it will fail. I plan on ordering another just for so I can have a spare. It certainly is cheaper than a tow to the nearest repair shop and the cost of an hour's wrenching by a mechanic. ... show more
