Description

The Trailer Valet XL side mount is designed to make it easy to park or move your trailer of up to 8,000 lbs. The XL is very easy to operate and allows you to take corners and make adjustments to your trailer position by steering as you move. It can be operated manually by using the included hand crank as a trailer hand dolly, utilizing the low or high gear. For added power, use the included Drill Attachment and a standard 20-24V Cordless Drill on the low gear, making it a motorized Boat Trailer or RV mover. At this weight capacity, the XL is one of the most compact units of its kind, making it one of the strongest portable trailer movers on the market. The Trailer Valet XL comes with never-flat solid rubber tires and an auto-brake function that acts as a wheel chock to keep your trailer in place. When the handle is down, the brake is engaged. To disengage, simply raise up the steering handle and you’re ready to move. Though the deep treads in the tire surface give you great traction on different surfaces like gravel, dirt, or grass, you will get the best experience when using the XL on well-packed surfaces or pavement.

  • Works like a charm
Size: TVXL20 10,000 LBS With 2 Inch Ball
Use this to move a 13 foot travel trailer into and out of my garage, which is at a decent angle (~ 3% grade). It is not hard to install correctly and is quite secure - just follow the directions (watch a you tube video if you still don't understand). Makes easy work of moving, steering, and stopping. The brake function is easy to use and is secure - makes it easy to take a break and check the sides, as the clearance is pretty tight. Sometimes the drive wheel slips a bit when going uphill - I find that putting a little upward pressure on the brake/steering handle makes it grab pretty easy. Haven't tried out the drill bit attachment yet - the hand crank gets the job done. Very well built and sturdy - I expect many years (hopefully decades) of service from this neat little trailer dolly. Would definitely buy again. ... show more

  • HOA Fine Saver!
Size: TV5X 5,000 LBS With Built In Jack
The Valet was just what we needed to be able to squeeze our pop-up into our garage. It allowed for the fine control required for some precision parking. There was no way I had the skills to reverse the trailer into our garage and/or move the trailer around to get it in the right spot so we could fit our second car in. It would likely have taken me hours to got it into place. We had to get the pop-up out of the back yard before the HOA noticed it and started to fine us! :) We did have to move out battery from the forward position back next to our gas tank (see attached pic) but that was easy enough and the Valet slotted over the welded base plate the old lift jack used. Installation, with the battery move, took about an hour. We weren't able to get traction on the grass, as some other reviews have stated. Honestly, I wouldn't have expected it to in our situation as it was extremely soft ground and it was practically in a hole. Once on the driveway, it was a breeze to move around. We do have a flat driveway so there was no issue with hills, etc. The small bump we have to get over the threshold of the garage does require me to put the lever in the low speed connection as the high speed doesn't have the torque to get it over that small bump. We also have to be careful when rolling the trailer out as the handle will spin really fast/hard as it hits that spot...watch your hands! Absolutely fantastic product - it also makes hitching up to the car extremely simple...no more back it up a bit, nope, bit more...too far...go forward...stop,...back up... ... show more

  • Too Good To Be True - It Doesn't Work
I was hoping this would help us more easily get our 23' wake boat into its storage area. We are able to get the boat perfectly lined up and partway in with the truck, before we run out of cranking room in the offset approach. All the Trailer Valet XL had to do was push the trailer straight back less than 10 feet on clean and flat pavement. It didn't work. The Trailer Valet XL had a hard time pushing or pulling the trailer on the flat pavement, and absolutely could not push the trailer wheels over a less than 1" ridge where the cement pad met the pavement. We tried everything - making sure the trailer brakes were locked out, purchasing a new corded high-torque drill, using the hand crank, etc. The tires would just slip on the pavement, the unit would bind up, etc. Even adding weight on the tongue didn't help. We ended up just pushing it by hand with a couple of people, no problem doing it by hand - I was just hoping the Trailer Valet would be a one person solution and remove the dependency on having people around. This brings us to the heart of the matter - the energy and time expended with the Trailer Valet XL is probably more than just doing it another way. If you can't do it by hand, it is unlikely that the Trailer Valet will be able to do it effectively either. The Trailer Valet XL might work on a small light trailer, but only on flat pavement, and nowhere near its rated capacity - it might hold something bigger, but it won't move it effectively based on my hours of trying to get it to work. Traction with the small rounded tires seems to be the biggest issue for heavier trailers, as well as some issues with ratcheting and binding every now and then inside the unit. It's a good thought, but like everything else that seems too good to be true, it fails in its implementation. ... show more
