Got the dusty blue, umbrella is nicely constructed. I couldn’t get it to open, had husband try - no luck. Went back and read info. Tried again after I had “locked and loaded “ , Meaning I pumped the shaft about 1/4 inch toward the handle. That did the trick. It both opened and closed with the button. I hope it continues to open with just a push of the button. If so- great purchase!!

Sturdy, solid, well-constructed umbrella, held up well against strong wind. Love the clip. However, I find this just a tad too weighty to be carried around in a backpack or briefcase. I'll be keeping it in the car for unexpected precipitation. It is really perfect for use between car and supermarket/office/etc, walking from apartment to a restaurant, or clipping onto golf bag if it's looking like that kind of day. But I would personally opt for a slightly more compact and lightweight option for actual travel or keeping in a backpack.

I really like this umbrella. It is compact enough to toss in my backpack I use for work but not so small that it will roll under the seat of the car and disappear. I really like the snap loop carabiner style handle. Occasionally I will snap it on the top handle of my pack instead of throwing it in the pack and the handle is strong, no worries with it falling off. The construction is solid and it pops open with authority! :) I have had others that you had to nudge to open fully, even automatic ones. No issues here! The rib count is high which gives me higher confidence that it will last. I have not been in high wind yet to truly test that out. The coverage is wide, which is nice for me. I am a bigger guy, 6'4" and carry a backpack frequently in and out of the office. This cover the backpack and my well without rain getting all over my pant in breezy rains. The cover is a nice bonus, I keep it on after the umbrella dries out. It just keeps things more compact. I highly recommend!

This is a STURDY little umbrella with really strong springs. It opens with 2 clicks--and when it does it SNAPS open suddenly due to the springs. It's about the right size for one person and a bit small for 2. Mine did NOT close with just one click as advertised. In fact closing this umbrella is harder than most because you have to fight the strong springs. I assume this will give it better wind resistance, but I did not get a chance to try it out in high wind. In the advertisement pictures it looks like it comes with a case, but the sample I received was missing a case. It has a velcro strap to compress the umbrella when closed. It has an interesting handle made out of some black synthetic with a comfortable matte finish and the best feature is that it is also a giant clip. It clicks right onto my shoulder bag. (See photo.) You can see the border reflection as I used a flash to take the picture. This should add a safety element to this umbrella at night. I have a Briggs and Riley 21-inch carry-on bag with a pouch. As you can see in the second picture it fits into the pouch, except the handle which sticks out. I can almost push the carry-on handle all the way down, but not quite. Overall, this is a great travel umbrella!

I am glad I collected this umbrella. The construction of this umbrella is very sturdy and does not leave one wanting a better assembly. When opening the umbrella, it does not get weak along the shaft connectors where I often feel a slight twist as a possible option to the downfall of the umbrella as a whole. When I saw the handle I was a bit reserved as to whether or not it would be worthwhile for an umbrella. I am actually surprised by the handle as it helps me to keep hold of the umbrella when winds are blowing and control the direction easy enough. The handle has a good grip ability as it is not small and nearly non-existent like many umbrellas I have used creating difficulty of keeping a tight hold on it. I actually think there is something to say for the 10 ribs for the umbrella seem to add the proper support as one should expect to hold back the water and most certainly the wind. This umbrella does not give much to wind gusts allowing you to walk confidently not waiting for the umbrella to collapse. The fabric feels like it is higher quality than other umbrellas I have used in the past. It feels like it is made of higher quality helping to repel water and it shakes off easy to be put away. Overall, this is a great purchase for the price point. I have not been a big umbrella user in the past, but I am certainly keeping this one around me for my time outdoors in the PNW. The handle is a good application, though I do not see myself necessarily using the hook aspect often, but if you are seeking a sturdy quality umbrella then you should highly consider this one for your needs.

I am surprised at how well-constructed this umbrella is. The stitching is very well done and the ribs feel very sturdy. The handle is very useful with its ability to clip onto a bag or backpack strap. And its size is just right, not too big, not too small. The price point makes this very affordable for what you get. It's a good deal.

The TradMall Travel Umbrella has a carabiner built into the handle which is a great idea since it can be easily clipped on a backpack. It was also made with a thicker weave material that looks and feels stronger than the typical folding umbrellas. Because of the better materials and larger size, this umbrella feels noticeably heavier than the typical folding umbrellas. I also really like the reflector sewn into the edge of the umbrella that makes this much more visible at night.
