One of the cups came chipped, and the design on them was raised and felt a bit cheap in quality. My husband and I felt that for $99 we should get better quality than this, but upon looking at Japanese tea sets NOT on amazon, we realized that that's REALLY the low end for tea sets, at least compared to authentic ones. Do what you will with that information. We decided to go ahead and return the item at least for the chip in the cup if nothing else. Not sure if I feel it's worth the cost, but it IS still quite cute.
