I purchased these as a gift, well actually to put gifts in. I only needed 2 baskets but these looked nice and the price was great so I ordered this set of 3. They arrived quickly and in great, no damage, condition. Once I saw them, I immediately logged in to try to order a 2nd set and still may, but it wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas (5 days away). I am giving these to my daughters with stationary in them and some other small gifts. If they both want the set of 3 to stack, I'll order the 2nd set and ship to them after the holidays. I definitely recommend this set. Not cheaply made, very sturdy. Quality seagrass craftsmanship. I bought another set of seagrass boxes that included 4 sizes and ended up disappointed. The largest outside box had an obvious defect so I returned the set. But NOT this set of 3! I have purchased 3 sets of these and they are fabulous! I'm using them on my coffee tables to organize remotes and other crap that seems to find its way to the coffee tables. I use them on the shelves of my living room side tables and in the bedroom on the shelf under my nightstands. I also use them on the shelves of my office to hide other miscellaneous crap. As an aside, they smell wonderful when they first arrive. I wish they would make a Glade plug-in with that scent! If you don't like the smell, no worries, it will dissipate within a week or so. These are beautiful and having a top is perfect to hide all you odds and ends for storage. I’ve purchased two sets and store items beautifully in my living room and home work space. They are very sturdy and hold decent amount of weight. Only drawback (to be expected) since it’s natural seagrass there is “broken” pieces in weaves but it doesn’t seem to compromise integrity and the only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is for that and the tops can lay very slightly askew, along with the price having gone up 3 times in a very short period of time from my initial purchase. Price still reasonable for product. These are fantastic and have bought two sets (well 3 as one set a basket came broken) but they quickly sent another and I returned the damaged set. ... show more

I just received these baskets yesterday so I can't speak about the durability of them over the long term but I'm confident that they will hold up for a long time. I did notice a faint smell like other reviewers had mentioned but it was not a chemical smell, it was a "natural" smell--probably the sea grass, though I don't know what sea grass really smells like. My 1940's kitchen only has 1 drawer (it's a pretty big one but still, it's just one drawer), so these baskets were bought to use them to store my kitchen stuff that won't fit in the drawer, like extra towels, seldom used cooking utensils and my small collection of unruly baking mats. I like the wire frame, it gives the baskets a lot of stability and will allow me to fill the baskets with my kitchen crap and stack them on top of each other without worrying about them getting crushed. ... show more
