I buy this series because I hate phone charging. I've had moto g power, moto G7 power, now chose moto g Play over the G Pure, because the battery was a 5000 not just 4000. I can't put it into the old cases because it is a quarter inch longer. I put it in a leather fold over case because these phones are so long they could have a stress break if sat or pressed on, but with a glass protector and wallet case, no issues, wherever in the vehicle it falls or if your purse dumps. Turn off the haptic touch or the vibration causes two of each letter. Everything loaded on with the USBC to USBC from an old g power, in seconds without wifi. The USB 3 cable came with my SanDisk extreme 1 tig water resistant solid state drive from Costco, which pairs perfectly to these. I paid around 180 each for the prior phones but the trackfone $45 offer is awesome. I saw it did seem to have an unlock phone option on trackfone, but for 20 a month cash for card fills from Rite Aid, and truck wifi, so it never uses gigs, I'm staying with tracfone. I was sick of Verizon Xfinity overcharges on 2 phones, and this goes nicely with the cheap pocket size flip as a second business line, to carry anywhere, but you can still sign and accept documents on this nice phone. If a document comes in on the little flip phone text, you just forward the text to this G Play and do business. This phone does everything thing the iPhones do that I'm interested in doing with no monthly contract or overages, just $20 period, unlimited talk text and 2 gigs data for emergency if you set to wifi only, and use your home or vehicle wi-fi to stream, FB, etc. You never need to speak to customer service ever again.

Beat all the TV commercials and no phone bill!

Tracfone piggybacks off Verizon, as the two just merged and made a deal. What does that mean for us? We get 5g performance and crystal clear phone calls for pennies a month. I pay $18 with tax and fees for 500 minutes, 500MB of data and 500 texts. It rolls over at the end of the month, and so does your expiration date. The more you buy, the farther it puts you out. Right now, since I use Wifi, I have built up 21 GB of data and have more than 12,000 texts available. The 500 minutes takes me about two months to use. So that's about $9 a month, and NO PHONE BILL while GETTING VERIZON'S QUALITY! And I've never been inside any basement or building where it said NO SIGNAL. Not bad for a $55 phone! AND it has a 13GB camera and most of the features of the more expensive $1,200 phones. No way I'm paying that much. 32GB of space is more than enough for me. Charge lasts about five days, depending on how much you talk, even more in batter saver mode.

Great with one minor annoyance

The battery is great in this. Better wifi signal that pretty much anything I've ever owned. Doesn't have an LED of any kind on the front side, so you can't set it up to turn on an LED when you have an unanswered text so you have to turn the screen on to check. Also, no front flash, the screen just goes white instead.

Tech support lacking if you have a problem.

I bought this locked to tracfone phone and a 20 dollar plan. I was able to activate without issue. I could make calls, send and received text messages but calls to the phone reported that it was not a working number. tracfone support could call the number and the phone would ring. As far as they were concerned the issue was resolved even though none of my friends or family could call me. After multiple calls to tracfone tech support I gave up and returned the phone to Amazon. I really liked the phone too. The screen was large and bright and after cleaning out the bloat apps, it was responsive and lag was minimal. I hope to buy an unlocked version and activate it through a different service provider with better tech support than tracfone.

Really nice phone after i figured it out. It is a bit different from what I'm used to, but its a great phone. It took me awhile to figure out how to get the lock off of it at first, but i finally did. The lock that i mentioned is the lock screen with a pin and the emergency thing on the screen was irritating. I enjoy it. It is a nice size and you can see things on it. Anyone that can figure things out quickly, will like this. A update; this phone is definitely slow, and the battery is crazy. When you use it quite a bit, the battery runs down quick. But is you don't use it often, its normal.

Hoping for a lot better.

This phone took days to finally get through the system update. Installed a few apps pretty well. For some reason even with internet it has a lot of the time saying internet connected but no internet. Pretty frustrating. I have another tracfone and I've never had this issue. With looking for help it seems like the moto g have this problem with connectivity. Would be perfect if it didn't have this issue

I am pretty stubborn and did NOT want a smart /I-Phone. I am perfectly happy using my stone age phone for calling, texting and the calendar/alarm. I needed a phone bc we use Whatsapp at work to communicate and my tablet was too big. I am not technically inclined but this was easy to set up etc. now I have become exactly what I didn't want to become -someone on their phone/social media constantly but I love it! LOVE the talk-to text and now my friends wont make fun of me bc I use a flip phone! I also didn't want to spend $$$ on a phone. It stinks that I have about 6 chargers but had to buy new ones (I like more than 1) bc the others aren't compatible.
