I don't mind this phone. It is a very good phone. I just lost my service with the ACP which uses TracFone and I can't get the phone unlocked which is fine. But I tried to setup a eSIM with this phone and the carrier locked it. So now I have a 200 brick and it is now a iPod touch with GPS. Don't buy locked phones. ... show more

This is Tracfone’s only latest phone. Works great. Comes brand new. Highly recommended. Does not have all features like the iPhone 14. But that’s ok. You save around half the amount of money on this device itself. Tracfone really needs to release the latest IPhone and android devices in order to grab more customers.     • This Tracfone is what I hoped it would be
I wanted a Tracfone that would use Tracfone’s Verizon network because Verizon has a tower closest to my home and they seem to have adequate coverage elsewhere. The supplied Tracfone directions and SIM card for this SE 3rd gen worked for me. The activation on Tracfone’s webpage went as advertised with no trouble. Transferring my data and settings from my old iPhone went perfectly. My first call worked as well as text and email . I found information online that indicates a SIM card’s associated network based on the first six digits of the SIM card id: 890126 = T-Mobile, 890141 = AT&T, 891480 = Verizon. Mine were 891480, indicating my preferred Verizon network. It would have been nice if the supplied info on Amazon had included this network information. If it had not turned out to be Verizon I probably would have returned the phone for a refund. ... show more

Got this phone for my mom to replace her tracphone. Super easy to get going, took the SIM card out of old phone and put it in this one and it was ready to go. Great phone for her.

    • I managed to activate phone along with an existing number transfer, but it was very time-consuming
It took three days of back-and-forth (and a very large number of customer "service" representatives hanging up after failing to make progress with the activation), but I finally lucked into a representative that found the steps that enabled this phone to work. As to the telephone itself, it seems like a reasonable value for the price. I don't expect a great deal from a budget device, but, then again, I don't want a great deal from any cell phone. Indeed, if I could get a reasonable cell phone with even more minimal features and which also was not using Android, I would prefer it to this more featureful device. ... show more

I like everything about the phone except for the very short battery life. Even when unused, the battery is nearly depleted in 24 hours. It's necessary to charge it constantly if it's to be available when I need to use it.

I read all the reviews and wanted to add some tips that might help someone. I had an Android phone from Trac Fone. I don't want an expensive iPhone plan but wanted a better phone. When I saw this iPhone made for Trac Fone, I was hopeful. Bought this mainly to have a better camera and connectivity to my Apple lap top. The price is better then any other iPhone and works with Trac Fone inexpensive plans. With both phones charged and ready I tried to activate this phone on the Trac Fone web site. No go. The message I got was that it didn't recognize the Serial Number that came with the phone. Customer support transferred me 3 times and then I got cut off. I looked up on you tube how to transfer from Android to iPhone. It worked until the last step. Gave me an error message many times. Tried rebooting the phones and starting again. Same message. I was going to return this phone but thought I'd see if the SIM card in my Android would fit in the iPhone. IT DID!! I hadn't expected that. Who knew? I've been able to get the phone up and working with all my contacts, downloaded all my pictures from my Apple computer, etc.. Although Trac Fone doesn't know what kind of phone I have ... I don't think it will matter. The phone has TFW initials (Trac Fone Wireless) on the top of the phone so it is recognizing that this is a Trac Fone Phone. I have received calls and texts with no trouble and connected to all my accounts. My work APP is working too. Just saying. Hope it helps. ... show more
