Features

  • Reliable Long-Range ConnectionsThe Tapo Hub operates on a lower frequency broadband, resulting in fewer signal interferences and ensuring stable connectivity for all your devices throughout your home. With a maximum connection distance of up to 30m, the Tapo Hub outperforms wireless network systems in the 2.4 GHz band. *Our internal laboratory tests confirm the coverage and range of the Tapo Hub, but keep in mind that actual results may vary depending on environmental conditions.
  • Go Beyond Just Doors and WindowsThe device provides real-time monitoring of windows, doors, cabinets, fridges, mailboxes, and other items that can be opened or closed.
  • A Low-Power Way to Connect EverythingThe Tapo Hub serves as the central hub for your Tapo smart home, linking smart sensors, switches, and buttons via an ultra-low power wireless protocol. This technology extends the battery life of devices by up to 10 times, in contrast to devices powered by the Wi-Fi protocol.
  • Real-Time NotificationIf a door or window is opened unexpectedly, you will receive instant alerts on your phone. You can also program the Hub to activate a siren as a warning in the event of danger or to deter intruders.
  • Smart ActionWith Tapo Smart Hub H100, you can trigger a Shortcut or control Tapo devices (such as smart plugs, smart lights and smart switches) based on sensor detection or with a button press. (*Tapo H100 cannot directly connect to Tapo smart plugs or smart lighting, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is required.)
  • Smart ActionTapo T110 serves as a common precondition for Smart Actions. You can program your Smart Contact Sensor to turn lights on or off, or to disable your Tapo security camera when a door is opened.
  • All Devices in One HubEach Tapo Hub can connect up to 64 Tapo devices throughout your home. Build and manage your smart home ecosystem with ease.
  • Long-Lasting PerformanceAssuming triggers of less than 30 times per day, the device can operate for up to 2 years using only a single CR2032 battery, which is included.
  • Protect Your Home Day and NightBy integrating with Tapo motion sensors, door/window sensors, and other devices, the Tapo Hub can activate a high-decibel siren (up to 90 dB) to alert of potential hazards or discourage intruders.

  • Works flawlessly with Alexa routines
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
Super easy to set up and extremely reliable. The sensors respond instantly, and I had them tied into my Alexa routines within minutes. They trigger lights, announcements, and automations with zero delay. The size is compact, the adhesive is strong, and the battery life has been great so far. If you want affordable door sensors that work smoothly with a smart home setup, these are perfect. ... show more

  • Great for Garage Doors!
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
I got these to use in place of a reed switch for my garage doors. I was having trouble finding decently rated reed switches on amazon, reports of melting and incorrectly operating switches glore. Yikes! These work great for this application, and in retrospect, not having to run a wire to a reed switch resulted in a much easier overall installation. Just watch your sensor placement to avoid your doors track. I paired these with some Shelly 1 minis to operate the garage door opener. If you don't want to mess with electrical wiring to the Shelly, get the Shelly 1 plus version, and you can wire it to a standard 12v DC power cord, and use an normal outlet instead. You'll have to replace the batteries in these sensors every few years, but that's easy and cheap enough to do once in a while. They seem durable, I dropped one from 7 feet up onto concrete, and it still works just fine. I set these up in the Tapo app, and then added them to Home Assistant. The tp-link integration works great with the hub and t110 sensors, and they can be used locally without requiring the Tapo app. The sensors sensors seem much more responsive via Home Assistant vs the Tapo app. The only downside is the price, the t110 sensors sell for $20 a piece, but given the quality of reed switches on amazon, I'd rather spend a bit more, and not risk a fire. I purchased another set to install on my entry doors, and will probably put some on my fridge doors eventually as well. If they were cheaper, I'd put them on all my windows too... ... show more

  • Excellent, Reliable Door Sensor!
Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
I recently installed the TP-Link Tapo Door Sensor, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup! The installation was incredibly easy, taking just a few minutes to attach it to my doorframe. The sensor is compact, discreet, and works flawlessly with the Tapo app, providing instant notifications every time the door opens or closes. One of the standout features is the real-time alerts, which give me peace of mind whether I’m at home or away. The app is super user-friendly, and I love that it integrates seamlessly with other Tapo devices in my home. It’s also very energy-efficient, and the battery life seems great so far. For anyone looking for an affordable and reliable smart door sensor, the TP-Link Tapo is a perfect choice. It’s given me that extra layer of security I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier with the performance! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Good functioning part of a full Tapp system.
Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
Easy to use with the good Tapo system, set up is easy, durability is okay, had one bust open relatively easy. Makes easy connection, adhesive could be a little stronger. There is no motion detention but tells you well if the door or window has been opened.

  • TAPO is the WAY TO GO! Automate your Life like you're Rich, but quietly on a Budget.
Style: Contact Sensor ONLY Size: 1 Pack
Tapo has quickly become one of my more favorite smart home brands with their wide range of feature-filled gadgets for affordable pricing. Everything is easy to use and I've had very little issues with their reliability. These door sensors follow that trend! I open a door, the light switch goes on within a second or occasionally two. Provided, these do require a hub but that takes a load off your router, so it's preferred! The battery life has been so good, that even when the app claims a battery is getting low, I continued to use the sensor for over a month or two without interruption. I am a bit sketchy with their security, or potential lacking of, considering Tapo descended from Kasa which both are owned ty the questionable Chinese-owned company, TP-Link. I've heard of instances where these communicate with Chinese IP Addresses. Who knows what information they send back. That's a risk with many things in today's technology... The best way to set these up is to have them on their very own network, isolated from everything but their main API. I've used the Kasa/Tapo brand for the past 3 years and I've never had any issues! ... show more

  • Works great even with a little misalignment on windows frame!
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
Works as advertised! I can set up alarms and notifications on my phone. It has good sound and handles 25m range from the wifi. Sensor are really good. My windows are not perfectly aligned with its frames so the sensor had to be placed around 8mm away in the close position and worked just find to mark the window as closed. ... show more

  • Tapo For The W
Style: Contact Sensor + Hub Size: 3-Pack
Switched to Tapo after the company I was using decided to just have their app go offline entirely and get removed from app store. Tapo is a way better product, is way more versatile as I can use Kasa products too utilizing the same app, and these doing everything I need them to do, and they offer an actual alarm hub which believe it or not, is harder to find than you'd think. Would love to see TP-Link put out an alarm keypad to arm and disarm my setup automation, but even without it, this system has everything i need covered, unlike all the other options ive tried previously. Im really surprised these are not talked about more and that they're not leading the charge in DIY smart home security. Needless to say, im switching everything over...Light switches, door sensors, outlets, bulbs, etc and ALL, so far, have been a VAST improvement over the previous brand I relied on. Now, this product in particular has a decently loud alarm, although I wouldn't say its 1 for your whole house loud, I already have 2 and will likely add 1 more to cover 1st floor, 2nd floor, and garage. Will have to update later on battery life but install was super easy, none of the adhesives have failed yet, again like my last ones did (fell off in first week), they were very simple and easy and quick to connect to app and get setup, and have not gone offline or lost connectivity yet. Best part, the pricing seems very reasonable to me, especially from Amazon. ... show more
