  • Works great!
I don't have images, but I'm only losing 10% at most in terms of bandwidth going from wifi to this. I believe when I tested it I went from 66mb/s to 60mb/s. It might have been a smaller gap, but it's close enough to not matter. My upload stayed the same speed, which is good. However, using this I have noticed a HUGE IMPROVEMENT in packet loss rate. Which is the whole reason why I got this. I get virtually no packet loss now, gaming has drastically improved. I can no longer blame lag when my ping is sub 30, it's all on my skill now. One thing to note, if you're on the same breaker box your speeds should be good. Best to be on the same breaker, but if you're on one end of the house to the other you gotta be on the same breaker box. At least in the US, since the US as a faux but not really 240v system. While plugs are at 120, the box is at 240 by daisy chaining. I'm probably butchering the explanation but, in the US you should be fine if your breaker is up to code. However, some homes use 2 or more breaker boxes and this can and will negatively impact your mileage if you try to connect to it while not on the same breaker box. A good example is apartments, since the whole building is wired up on the same "grid" someone could access your network and take your internet, at a slower speed of course. This product does have a network you can set up. Which is nice, it's like pairing earbuds to your phone. Both devices need to be "looking" for each other at the same time, then they will connect. So unless you're apartment neighbor is searching at the same time you are, they can't or at least will have a way harder time trying to steal your internet. ... show more

  • Works well to extend Ethernet to a room without it
Using WiFi on my main desktop was not ideal. Speeds were inconsistent due to other devices using WiFi and it would constantly change from 5GHz to 2.4GHz and vice versa or drop the network all together (which drops connection to my NAS to a complete CRAWL). Used this powerline adapter because itโ€™s over 75 feet away and running a cable would require drilling in the attic which is not recommended for me to be in at this time of year due to the heat haha. I really appreciated that I am still able to use the power socket so I can have my router and network extender plugged in still like it had been. Using my desktop it is now stable with a low ping and speeds about half of what I receive when connected directly to the router which is acceptable. ... show more

  • Works, but not as fast as I expected.
I bought this to connect a Western Digital MyCloud network drive that is not located near my router to my network. It was previously connected using a wireless extender as an ethernet access point and speeds were too slow to stream video at all. Plugging the MyCloud into this adapter, I can stream video with just a little buffering now and then, so it's an improvement, but not as fast as being hard wired. Setup was very easy. ... show more

  • Great Product - Using it as a line extender from one room to a router
I bought this product to try and alleviate my wife constantly having to reboot her computer to print (she was connected to our home network via WiFi). Connection speed is a full 1GB/Sec and so far it has resolved the printing reboot problem previously noted. Pairing was easy (but please read the instructions to make sure you're doing it correctly). The only issue you might have is some power strips come with a plug with the cord going out at the 5:00 o'clock position which does interfere with this product. Had to move two power strips around so that I was using the one comes straight out of the wall socket, thus not interfering with the PowerLine adapter. Other than the power strip caveat, so far this is an excellent product that works well and does exactly what I wanted it to do. ... show more

  • Good solution if you don't want to put a wire through your house
It works and it is trivial to set up. My mother's fire tv stick didn't work well with Wifi - so these adapters became a perfect solution. You set it it up within few minutes - mostly needed for unpacking. And then it just works. Note that in case of fire tv stick I also had to buy a special Ethernet adapter, which is $15 extra, but in my case it all made sense. Alternative would be wiring 150 feet of ethernet cable around rooms. I think they don't advise using it with electric extension cords but I actually use such extenders on both ends and it still works Ok. ... show more

  • Convenient solution to move wired LAN connections away from the router
My network printer is LAN-only and I would have been forced to keep it close enough to run a line to my router. It was so easy to use the plugs instead!

  • Better than running wires but slow as bad 2.4 wifi
I knew I would not get the advertised speed but i would get half of it when connected on the same line, same circuit it dropped to about 200. When connected upstairs on a different circuit I get anywhere from 15 to 65 MB My wifi in the same location gets me over 200. So not perfect but it works.
