I was nervous as it was a random gift and not one he requested but he immediately sat down and started using it-kept him and his brother busy for almost an hour. It was easy for them to learn how to use which I loved. It goes step by step, so it's beyond tracing, it helps them learn how to draw. Christmas gift for my grandsons 8 & 9. They love that you can trace pictures but also has a feature to learn to draw pictures. The coolest feature is the Bluetooth connection to your smart phone through the app. You can use photos in your photo library or take a picture of anything and it sends it to the projector instantly for them to trace. You can use it with batteries or usb plug-in. It is well made and seems like it will be durable. The light is plenty bright to see the pictures easily without having to dim the room lights. Color is as shown, a little pricey, but works great and is super compact when taken apart. Love that the feet grip the paper to keep it in place while you trace the picture that is projected. Santa, brought this fr my 9 yr old grandson, he seems to enjoy it, this kept him busy for some time. there are many pics you can trace as you learn to draw. i noitce one way it takes you step by step. he also took a pic of our dog and he drew that.. my only issue, the app, wants you to pay monthly. i am not interested in paying monthly ... show more

My daughter received this as a Christmas gift. She loves it. I sat down and used this with her as well! Pros - easy to use, paper stabilizers on bottom are awesome, preloaded pictures and easy set up make it quick and easy to use. Can use the charger or batteries. Cons - way to pricey, $100 is quite a bit. Being able to trace your own picture is great as long as you take a decent picture to choose from-most pics are blurry when displayed. 4 stars for price. ... show more

Way overpriced! My daughter received this as a Santa gift and just opened it today. We placed the cartridge in the slot and immediately received an error message. Attempted to place the cartridge in multiple times and continued to receive the error. We are unfortunately past the 30 days to request a refund so it will just get thrown away. I thought about purchasing another cartridge to see if we just received a bad one with the projector, but there's no guarantee that will work and I don't want to waste any more money on this cheaply made toy. Even if it did work, I feel silly having spent this much on it as it doesn't seem to be anything special. Don't be impulsive like me and look for a better gift for your money. ... show more

I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. He insisted that we write a review saying it was his favorite gift. He has been using it nonstop in his free time. He would rate it not five stars, but a million stars. It makes me happy that he is enjoying it so much and also learning.
