This thing is actually 4 WD, and it'll rip and run through mud, water, sand, wet grass, over ramps, you name it! It's pretty fast, too! Extremely intuitive and easy to drive, with two batteries, pistol grip control, forward, backward, left and right ... if you can find your way into it, you can get out of it. The grandkids love it .... almost as much as I do! Given that I am a frequent user of relatively expensive DJI and numerous other drones, and have in the past had considerable experience with nitro fuel as well as electric cars, nitro and electric dune buggies, a wide variety of planes, inboard-outboard-inboard/outboard (from twin-screw electric inboards to tiny twin outboards up to and beyond Hotshot 21 circa mid to late 80's) boats and even custom air boats, as well as numerous other fully custom systems of all shapes and sizes with good Futaba radios, I am well versed with the limitations expected from this item, which is for all intents and purposes "a toy". So, I of course almost surely expect considerably less than most people likely would when putting this and similar items through their paces regarding control, range, speed, power, ease of use in general, and more, but I can't help but to believe even those who expect more will be very well satisfied with this extremely fun and tough little machine! It's a blast to sling all manner of rooster tails all around the yard with! There's an often overlooked aspect enjoyed with these types of these types of items, and it simply can't be overstated, and that is just how extremely user friendly this thing is as a terrestrial machine in general, and specifically a perfectly suited source of entertainment for kids of all ages, from one to one hundred. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to keep a drone of airfoil aloft for even a few seconds at a time for the wholly uninitiated, even with the extremely easy-to-operate drones of today across all price ranges, with single button launch, single button land, headless mode, auto-hover, auto-flip, auto-circle fly, emergency stop, auto-gyro calibration and control, and more. Not only are these auto-systems and functions very easy to operate, they are quite surprisingly easy to set and fly - surprisingly so, in fact. That said, even with the easiest to fly drones out there have quite the learning curve for new initiates, especially the younger ones. There's simply no way to avoid this frustration when one starts out with a system that requires flight, especially with planes, and what may look nimble, fun, and easy only turns out to be true with regard to the first two factors. When you drop down the range with regard to user friendliness, there's nothing easier, more fun, and guaranteed to be enjoyable for any and all users than a dune buggy or truck that's comfortable not only on land, but on land that's wet, dry, dusty, or sandy, on concrete, asphalt, or grass, and so on. Instead of a frustrating attempt to keep the fun going for a few seconds that can often wind up with a debilitating crash for a flyer, even the smallest and youngest of us will enjoy success early on with this thing! I realize that's both obvious and seemingly not terribly well suited to a review of this particular item; it's a R/C 4 WD drive, and not a drone or plane, but again, I simply can't stress how great this thing is as a start-up R/C system, with a frustration factor as low as I have observed in any such set-up. Ease of setup and use is great and the wide array of media across which it can masterfully operate is unparalleled in general or specificity. Robust, remarkably fast, and tough, it offers up immediate and frustration free fun for all ages from jump. Multiple batteries is always great, not only for more fun per trip outside (or inside!) but also to serve as a good way to keep the "Let me try before the batteries run down! It's my turn!" to a minimum. Bang for your buck is, unless I learn something different in the future, very good, and the instructions are easy to understand and follow. Again, given my experience with all manner of R/C systems I found battery life and control distance well within the range of the expected, but I could see how this may seem slightly less than what many others may expect. All I can say with regard to that is that it's simply well with the operating range to be expected, and better than most similar systems. If you do less vigorous and aggressive and up-and-down-ramping of acceleration and maintain a bit lower speed in general, you can easily expand run-time life per charge. Fast, fun, and a two thumbs up for adults and kids alike. Although I have no actual experience to base it on, this manufacturer's assurance of satisfaction regardless of what it takes to get there is both straightforward, specific, and seemingly quite sincere, and not at all the ambiguous platitudes so often thrown out to get into your wallet with little thought given as to where that may lead. We have a buy here, ladies and gentlemen, well worth the money spent!

I got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it! It can move all directions and spin around and really can go in water! It's really cool! The rechargable batteries last a pretty good amount of time also. I'd say around 30 minutes, and it's nice that they include an extra one.

All the neighbor kids are jealous, and the kids have a blast with it, but mind running it on muddy/wet grounds--it's a pain to clean out, but you must keep it clean if it's to last!
