I got the blue of this mat, and it looks more grey than blue, but other than that, it provides a nice cushion for your feet when standing in the kitchen. It is 18x39, which I know it says, but I didn't realize what that actually looks like. It's a skinny rectangle - the width is more than double the size of the length. It looks very skinny when on the floor, just keep that in mind. There is a rubber bottom, so it doesn't slide around. The top, according to the packaging is 100% PVC top/pvc foam backing. Not sure exactly what that means, but it is smooth and feels like it can easily be wiped down if it got wet or got something on it. The directions say to clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, air dry. Makes sense and it was easy to wipe off with a paper towel when I splattered water on it. Overall, a great addition to the kitchen!

I wanted this to be way thicker than it actually is. It also came tightly rolled up in a box, which meant that unrolling it and trying to get it to lay flat was a chore. I'm going to give it a few more days to relax, and if things improve, I'll certainly update my review. Sometimes these floor mats need a bit of time to perk up fully. I worked as a chef in a kitchen for like 7 years. All work stations had heavy duty anti fatigue mats, because you didn't want people to mess up their knees or their backs from the hours of standing and moving around that you'd have to do to make sure food was sent out on time. I would rate those like a 10 out of 10. I've got some cloth rugs in the bathroom that are nice to keep my feet warm, but aren't necessarily going to help me reduce fatigue and foot/knee pain by standing on them instead of the floor. In terms of usefulness for anti fatigue/pain, I'd rate my bathroom rugs a 3 out of 10. It can help, but it's not designed for that. For this floor mat's comfort rating, I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10. It's above average, but only just. It's also awfully small looking in my kitchen. If you have like a galley kitchen or a very small cooking space, this might be right for you, but also bear in mind that it's not doing you any great favors in reducing your fatigue.

I've used a number of this style of anti fatigue mats in my life so I have something to compare it to. This is on the lower side of price points for mats but functions perfectly fine. It is of average quality, I would say. If you're looking for a thicker higher end mat, this isn't it. But it's also priced fairly and if you're looking for decent quality at a cheap price this probably meets your needs. I'm giving it 4 stars simply because it could stand to be just a touch thicker, but again, it's hard to nitpick too much when you're shopping on the lower side of the price range too. It does ship all rolled up and will need a few days to completely lay flat once you put it down, but that's not the end of the world. If you've never tried a mat like this though and you do a lot of standing in your kitchen, they are an absolute must. The difference is drastic on your back, knees, and feet after a decent amount of time standing.

Having worked as a chef, I have been on the lookout anywhere near comparable to restaurant anti-fatigue mats but more for the home. This mat has a farmhouse appeal which is okay for my taste, but the cushioning and comfort is almost comparable to professional anti-fatigue mats. It cleans easy, is durable and very cushiony. It is honestly in the top category for best anti-fatigue mats I have owned. 18x39 is smaller than I expected, so I would go with the larger depending on your space. Great mat for the value!

This review is for TOWN & COUNTRY BASICS Comfort Plus Windowpane Plaid Anti Fatigue Comfort Mat. I ordered the beige plaid mat and I'm very happy. It looks just like the photo and is exactly as described. Just the right thickness to be truly anti-fatigue and keep my back and feet so happy in the kitchen! The quality is good, no rips or tears and it grips the floor exactly as I'd want from a kitchen mat. It arrived rolled but not compressed, the slightly curled edges smoothed out within a minute and it was ready to go. The dimension are exactly as described and I love this length because so many mats are 6' long but that's just a smidge too long for my kitchen, 55" is perfect so I can walk back and forth from my sink to counter in comfort.

We have hard stone flooring in our kitchen. While it is beautiful, it is hard on the feet and legs. We placed this in front of our sink - what a difference! My fiancé actually keeps going over and standing on it just because it feels so nice. The 18 x 39 size is the perfect length for in front of our double sink. I would recommend measuring your area before purchase to make sure you have the correct size. The colors are a bit more muted than I was expecting. I love that the mat is made out of PVC - it is so easy to wipe down and keep clean in the kitchen area. The day after I placed it on the floor, I dropped an egg. What a mess that would have been if I had a carpeted rug there! With this, clean up was a breeze! The rug comes very tightly rolled up. We rolled it out in the opposite direction to encourage it to lay flat. Within a few hours, it was laying perfectly flat. If you're on the fence on this one - I would highly recommend purchasing.
