Not only did this thing keep all of our food cold, it held 2 large freezer bricks, food, water (4 aluminum filter bottles) portable chargers, charging cords, sunscreen, cooling towels, fans, mini first aid kid, wallets AND phones, but the straps were insanely comfortable for the amount of weight we had in it! It has become my daily lunch box for work, my main grocery bag, and picnic bag. I use this cooler backpack as my commuter lunchbox. The pack looks too large to use a lunchbox, but it’s PERFECT! I throw in the following every day: two or three 5” x 5” thin sized ice packs, ½ sandwich, 20 oz. Gatorade, 1-12 oz. bottle of water, small applesauce, granola bar, a few snacks, small container of hummus and then I throw in my lightweight jacket on top, in case it rains. Ta-dah! Every item stays cold all day. The straps are adjustable, cushioned and very comfortable. The side pockets are great for extra water. I use the front pocket for silverware and granola bars or a pack of crackers. The zippered pocket on top of the pack can be used to stash keys and a few items for easy access. I plan to take this backpack cooler on hikes and picnics as well - it’s very versatile, well thought out and simply awesome! Definitely would recommend!! ... show more

I made a last minute purchase of this insulated backpack prior to a family trip to Disney and I am REALLY glad I did! We packed lunches in the morning and used this pack to carry them around keep them cool until lunch and it did a great job! Two frozen ~16oz water bottles laying flat along the bottom, 2 more on top of all the items you need to keep cold, and this might last all the way to dinner. Everything was kept nice and cold. It was so well insulated, we couldn't even feel the frozen water bottles at the bottom or on my back when carried. We had planned for the water bottles to thaw enough to be able to drink, but even at the end of a 10hr day, they were still half frozen. Additionally, the two mesh pockets on the side are plenty big enough to fit most regular size ~24oz water bottles like contego or camelbak. It was also very comfortable! I was able to carry it 5 days in a row for 10hrs a day with no discomfort at all! I would highly recommend this for your trip to Disney or wherever else you plan to go!! ... show more

Very good product, we use it to go to the beach, on the boat, for picnics. The only issue I have is that if I put ice in it, the bag will have a lot of condensation at the bottom. I bought this thinking there will be no water on the bottom (i.e. dry).

It DID take 2 years before it started leaking. I see there is a newer version that is just 2 cans smaller. Does anyone know what else is newer about it? Like more leak-proof? Also, can anyone recommend a type of "leak proofer / water proofer" to spray on this that does not dry sticky?
