As expected, another great case from TORRAS. This case is thin and sleek, adding almost no bulk to the phone. The color is as pictured, and the side buttons have a nice little metallic shine to them. The buttons are clicky and satisfying. The case has a really nice soft texture that’s not slippery. Overall it’s very nice to look at and feel, and functionality is as good as it gets for the slim fit cases. It’s got the raised edges over the screen and cameras to protect all the glass. It’ll keep your phone safe from your average every day drops, just don’t go throwing it off a building or anything. I’ve used TORRAS cases for years and have never sustained any damage to my phones, and will continue to use them as long as this excellent quality is maintained, especially at such a reasonable price point compared to competition. ... show more

As I move on to my next phone, I thought I’d give a review on this great case. Purchased in January of 2020, I have put this case through the toughest of durability test, as I have no regard to my phone. I have dropped my phone countless times, unintentionally, on all surfaces from cement to hardwood and this case has held up in all cases. It fits perfectly on the phone and has a texturized feel with a smooth finish but provides enough grip where you have a sense of security even when wet; and I have gotten it wet many times. From my photos, you can see the battle scars this case has absorbed, that potentially would have been done to my phone had I not had the case. Through all of the drops, my case never once failed on me. I should note, you should be careful when taking the case off the phone. I have done it countless times however on my 20th or 30th time, I was a little careless and the thin part of the frame around the camera section broke. It had minimal impact to protection the cracked section remained intact and never gave me any issues. Lastly, after nearly 2 years and countless power ons and power offs, the section covering the power button finally gave way and fell off. I still gave this phone 5 start in all aspects because even though the button fell off, it still outlasted my actual phone. I would definitely buy another Torras product. Great quality. ... show more

Case is well made. Feels slim but very sturdy. The softness of the case does take some getting used to as it comes across as kinda slippery or easy to drop. I added a pop socket to it for additional grip without compromising the slimness of it. Would buy again and definitely recommend.

    • Great case overall, buttons a bit tricky.
I reaaaaallly like how thin & minimal this case is. It is super lightweight, but seems to work well. It helps a lot with an iPhone 7 Plus to not add much weight, makes it way less tiring to hold and use. It’s not super grippy, but also doesn’t usually slide out of my hands easily - definitely much easier to hold than a bare iPhone. It slides in & out of my pockets easily, and I don’t normally have any trouble holding it. I have dropped it a couple times onto a tile floor - but not from very high, and my phone didn’t get damaged. I think I basically got pretty lucky each time, but also the case did it’s job. I’d definitely get a 2-layer case for the very clumsy types. I get Luvvit Ultra Armor 2-layer cases and JetTech tempered glass screen protectors for the rest of my family. They add some heft but have definitely saved a few screens. The color is also much darker than I expected from the photos. It almost borders on purple, but that’s not really an accurate description. I’d say dark, dark navy is about right. My only real complaints with the function of the case is the button covers. They’re just partial cutouts with plastic over hanging the buttons. So pressing volume switches has to be done at the top of volume up, or bottom of volume down. The button covers are joined at the center between the buttons. The power button cover is attached at the top of the button, so you have to press closer to the bottom of it for it to work. Without pressing at the opposite edge of the plastic, I would end up pressing way too hard. I tried bending the button covers out and back in again, which helped for a while - but eventually they started to break off. They probably would never have broken if I hadn’t bent them so much to loosen them up. Also my volume up botton got really sticky. Not the case’s button cover, the iPhone button mechanism itself. I thought I’d damaged it somehow by pressing too hard - but once I cleaned it with a couple drops of rubbing alcohol on a microfiber cloth it was fine again. I contacted Torras thru Amazon about the button cover problems and they offered a free replacement case. I asked if they could send me a different version they also offer for the same price and they did. I got the version with cutouts for volume and power, and the bottom speaker & microphone are uncovered. It probably has less cushion for drops than this case, but I only need very minimal protection since I’ve been pretty lucky/careful not to accidentally damage any of my phones for 5+ years. The version I have now only comes in black, I’d prefer almost any other color, but have actually warmed up to it more than I expected. It has a nice contrast with my white & gold iPhone that I think looks mildly classy. I’d give the new case 5 stars aside from lack of color options. Functionally I have no complaints at all. The new case is awesome and just what I wanted in terms of form & function. I like it a lot, kinda wish it was a couple dollars less but that’s being a bit nit picky. Overall it works great too, but it does collapse a bit when pressing on the phone screen. Usually I keep it on my desk at work, and bring it home sometimes - it’s nice for holding my phone on my chest while laying in bed reading or getting lost in YouTube videos. I’d never heard of Torras before buying this case, kinda hesitated to buy because of that. But overall I’d say it’s worked out pretty well, I would buy the same style case again with my next phone unless my needs/wants change by then. Support was helpful, friendly and responsive. I did feel a bit pressured to leave a review in exchange for their help based on their emails, which felt kinda weird. But I sorta get where they’re coming from. They sent me a replacement case without me leaving a review, I would not have left a review just to get a free replacement. I can’t stand all the reviews where people get products free/discounted/etc. They’re always biased and I don’t trust them at all. I paid full price for this case and the stand, and did not request a refund or any compensation beyond the replacement case after my button covers broke off. I’m sharing my experience to help inform others, especially those who share my preferences and would do better with the newer version that has button cutouts.
