• Packaging: minimal packaging, just enough to keep the item being sold/shipped safe from damage. The box, bag, plastic molded container, and information card are all just big enough for everything to fit while not being much bigger than the case itself. It’s also a bonus that it appears at least the box is recyclable, if not the box and the plastic tray. • Case appearance: The case seems to not add almost any size to the phone at all whilst serving a phone case’s main purpose of protecting the phone inside. I quite like that the edges are opaque black, but the back is more of a smoked translucent to allow seeing the actual color of the phone or whatever stickers or drawings a person would want to be visible on the phone while still being protected. Since I don’t like to be a walking billboard or advertisement for any brands, the small embossed logo on the side of this case is subtle enough that it doesn’t detract from the total look, and it’s also not big enough to feel in your hand if you don’t want to. • Case feel: The finish on this case is perfect for making a slippery phone much easier to hold on to. I have also experienced cases that were far too rubbery / grippy to the point where it was difficult to take the phone out of or put back into a pocket, and that is not ideal either. This case seems to be in that perfect middle ground finding an improved grip without making it sticky. The weight of this case is also a positive, as it adds almost zero weight to the phone. Heavy or bulky cases make a phone less pleasant to hold and can even cause increased fatigue in the hands and wrists. Light case = good case in my mind. • Interchangeable buttons: I think these are a great feature, and one that I’ve never seen before on a phone case. It’s relatively easy to change out the buttons considering it doesn’t feel they are ever a risk to fall out without wanting them to. These buttons are 10x more satisfying to press than the buttons on a typical one-piece plastic phone case. These mimic the tactile sensation of pressing a real button but keep the actual buttons on the phone protected. I would like to see an option for the customer to be able to customize which button colors they’d like, but I’m not sure how easy that would be to accomplish through the Amazon site. Even without a customize option, I very much appreciate the inventive nature of the buttons and how they look / feel when on the case. ... show more

Picked up the amethyst purple case to match Deep Purple on the iPhone 14 Pro, and I made the right choice. Both shades are just subtle enough to compliment each other well. The rear of the case is slightly more opaque than is portrayed, but in the right lighting, you can see the Apple logo on the back of your device. Lighter color devices will definitely display the logo more clearly than Space Black or Deep Purple. Results will vary. Holds the device firmly around the edges without interfering with the tempered glass protector that I installed (Spigen Glas.tr). Will test with a rear camera lens protector as well, but I don’t anticipate any fitment issues. Sleek and functional case that feels high quality. My only gripe is one that I see is common amongst buyers, which is that the slick edges make the case a bit slippery to hold. Almost a velvety texture. Certainly not a deal breaker. Overall, a fantastic case for the money. Pairing the price and the minimalistic look and feel, in addition to device coverage and protection, I’d say you’d be hard pressed to find a better slim-fit case. Excellent hybrid between hard and soft shell. Button customization is an added bonus, even though I preferred the black buttons that came preinstalled. Would’ve given 5* if not for the high opacity and the need to be somewhat cautious when holding. Edit: Spigen Glas.tr Optik camera lens protector does fit without issue! Also doesn’t exceed the raised edges of the case, so won’t take direct impact from a fall. ... show more

The material that it's made with has enough, not sure how to describe accurately but it has enough of a rough texture (though not rough) to allow a solid grip.
