    • Became a TORRAS fan for this case
It's really slick. Was about to purchase the original Google-made Pixel 8 case but the reviews said that it breaks easily at some weak points. This is not the case (no pun intended). I have dropped my phone countless times and this case still looks new after around 7 months. My phone has also been excellently protected. MagSafe ring is placed perfectly. I use it with magnetic stands and wireless chargers and it works 100%. The magnetic strength is perfect. Even the buttons feel high quality and the fact that they include 3 different colors is a nice touch. Tried other MagSafe cases for the Pixel 8 similar to this one but neither of those came close at all in terms of quality. This one is also not bulky at all like others. I really like how it looks with the orange-ish buttons. I'm even thinking of buying a spare one before they discontinue it, but, to be honest, this one doesn't look like it's ever going to break. ... show more

As soon as I put my P9P XL phone in the new mag safe case I registered the warranty right away. I got the email asking if it was me asking to have a warranty and I said yes. Then they replied back wanting to know how I feel about the case, what I like and don’t like about it, etc. That tells me that Torras team really does care about their customers and want to give us the best product they can offer. I feel good about this so I decided to write a review about my new mag safe case. I usually don’t write review but the person I chatted with deserve a good review! 8 hours later after I put my new P9P XL phone in the torras case, I've gotten use to holding the case well. It seems to be made well. High quality and tactile feel of them. I dropped it on the counter and I did not see any damage so the case did protect my new P9P XL phone pretty well so far. It seems very durable too. The magnet seems to be pretty strong. My wife and my daughter got mag safe for their iPhone and this case is my first mag safe. After testing it with their mag safe accessories it held pretty well and it was just as good as their clear case. I brought the mag safe car mount for the car and this case held really well when I went over few bumps. I put my daughter’s popsocket popgrip on the case and it was a little hard for me to remove it so I feel very confidence when I get me one of my own that it will not be easily come off the mag safe case (both popsocket and car mount). The power button and volume button are very nice too. Not so stiff or difficult to turn power on/off and adjusting volume. It seems to be easier than my old case for my old P7P. Having different colors (light orange and light green) for power/volume is a nice option too. When I picked up my old P7P phone to take some pictures for this review I was shocked to realized that my P7P is a tad bit heavier than my P9P. I’ve gotten used to holding the P9P and I didn’t touch my P7P until a day later. Comparison shows that P7P is 212g and P9P XL is 221g. Two different materials and Torras feels a bit lighter than Speck. Torras case is a little slimmer than my Speck case and it feels comfortable when I hold it. It has a good grip on outside border so it’s not sliding off my counter easily. Overall, l I am very pleased with the case better than my old case. ... show more

I hesitated a bit on buying this, because many reviewers said two things that turned out to not be true: (1) That the magnet was too weak, and (2) that the case didn't support wireless charging. I think both of these complaints are wrong, and probably are due to either a sub-par wireless charger (with a weak wireless charge function) or not understanding how to use what the case provides. I have the ESR Qi2 wireless charger in my wife's car (purchased from Amazon). It has a powerful magnet and with this new case it securely holds the phone up to the dash and charges it quickly while in use. I've got other chargers with strong magnets, and all seem to both grip this case magnetically and charge the phone. I really liked that the case came with interchangeable buttons. Although not really needed, I replaced the black (same as case color) buttons with the yellow ones. The buttons work really well, and much better function than those cases that have the buttons as simply a flexible part of the case. I do agree the back of the case is a little bit too smooth, which I suppose might make it easier to drop, but maybe I don't hold the phone the same way as others who have had a problem. I think it is fine. Overall, I think this is a well designed case that works well. I highly recommend it. ... show more
