While I don't expect any case to offer absolute protection, this one has worked out quite well for me including a few drops. I also use my phone to stream my son's sports games and it has been hit by the ball a couple of times while mounted on my tripod. Both times, the phone fell approximately 6 feet and while I recognize the tripod and phone mount took most of the force of the fall, my phone survived and didn't show any damage despite the fact that the phone mount broke on the last fall. Apple style and quality at half the Apple price. It has a soft satin finish which can be slick if you’re using lotion, have greasy hands or have naturally sweat hands. I have not found it to be an issue. It actually works well when having it in your pocket. There’s nothing overly tacky to get hung up in your pocket. Great case at a good price. I generally prefer to use Apple branded cases, but I tried this one when I needed a replacement. It’s easy to hold and softens the edges of the flat sided 12 pro max. I had an official Apple iphone case that I liked. But, after two years the silicone material started peeling off at the top corners. When I looked to replace that case, the current prices struck me as too high. I found this TORRAS case and bought it. The phone sits snugly in it and the buttons work well. The Magsafe charger works well with it. I like its looks better than the official Apple case; it's sleeker and is a darker color. That said, the grip was a bit more assured on the Apple case due to the material. I have to be a little more careful in handling the phone in the TORRAS case, but it's not a big deal.
