  • V32 is a miracle worker.
Size: 11 ITEMS Style: KIT Pattern Name: Polisher
So far I've used them all on different vehicles with different conditions. I used the 36 on my bike, 34 on my wife's car, and just recently 32 on her mother's ride. The pic is of her mother's car. I had already foamed/pressure washed and clay/detail. In this pic, if you look closely, you can see the polished portioned done with V32 vs not polished. Huge difference. The whole car was like the unpolished portion although it was "clean". I followed up with V38 instead of working through them all. After that, I used the butter wax, followed by jet seal. All in all, the job took HOURS, but omg it was worth it. She nearly cried in disbelief. It was that serious. I was actually enjoing myself, so much that this will probably become a hobby...or a business. So satisfying. Looked like a brand new car off the lot. V32 is far better than 34/36 if you want a deep polish. At first I was a little hesitant as it much more abrasive than the other polishes, but her paint was a little older and broken in with many micro scratches. This won't take away the scratches, but the paint will be so brilliant that you would have to actually have to try to find the scratches unless they're really really deep. I didn't realize how great her paint job actually was up underneath the neglect. Could see the flakes perfectly and the mirror finish. But now I wish I would've used it on my wife's car. When I finished her mom's, the paint was unbelievable. It was like right in your face. And that was before applying the butter wax, which is glorious by the way. Absolutely glorious. Jet seal is great if you want a dealership shine and seal, but butter wax is glorious. If you do the seal, let it bond, then add butter wax the next day. I think the second pic is after the polishing. It was dark by the time I started waxing. The car was as smooth as silk at the end. She was tripping out just by touching the handle to open the door. Great product. Oh and the tool is excellent as well. ... show more

  • Great for anyone! Long review and detailing instructions. *UPDATE*
Size: 9 ITEMS Style: KIT Pattern Name: Polisher
This is a great polisher/buffer for anyone. It is one of the few products where it is extremely user friendly. This polisher/buffer (everyone calls it something different) lets a weekend warrior have the ability to look like a professional. This package comes with everything you see in the picture. The polisher/buffer, a 4 pack of sale compounds and polishes (4 oz), and 3 pads. This is a complete system that gives you the ability to fix most car imperfections. But it is not a miricale worker. You have to put in the time and have the correct technique to get great results. Even then there are some things you will not be able to correct. So before you think "I don't want to buy this cause someone said it didn't work", realize that there are limitations to any paint corrections. I will talk about it again in a little bit. But first back to the review. The unit itself is built very well. It is a very sturdy and well balanced machine. "What does he mean by well balanced?" What I'm referring to is that, even on the lowest setting, you can handle this machine with one hand. The pads are hook and loop (velcro) and are 5.5". This is somewhat an odd size that puts you in a situation where you have to find them online most of the time. But to be honest is is a happy medium. Each pad has their own uses. You need to make sure you are using the right one for each situation. The compounds are from Chemical Guys based out of California. Their products are probably some of the best that I have ever used. They are very user friendly and have a great smell. Yes I said great smell. If you are going to compound or polish your car its nice to have something that has a pleasant scent. So if you have read it this far and know how to compound or polish a car that's all that I have. Those of you who don't know what to do can read on if you want. This is a small tutorial and list of products you will need in order to get great results. 1: Wash your car. This is the starting point to any body work. You should use only microfiber. *DO NOT USE TERRY CLOTHS OR HOUSEHOLD RAGS* These rags will hurt your paint and cause small scratches. 2: Clay Bar Get your favorite clay bar and clay your paint and glass. Periodically fold the clay over and knead it to get a clean/fresh side. Use a clay bar lube or quick detailer spray. Do small sections at a time and wipe off excess product when complete. 3:IPA Mix Isopropyl Alcohol and distilled water in a spray bottle (I would research to see what you are comfortable with). This will strip any wax, clay bar, or sealant that remains on the vehicle. 4: Determine the work you need to do. Many people jump into this with a all or nothing attitude. What need to do is look at all of the scratches, water spots, bird dropings, and any other imperfections. From there you need to determine what is the minimum that can be used to take out the scratches. If you have a lot of paint correction with deepnscratches you should compound. If it is just water spot with a few scratches then you need to polish. This step, though, is to determine what you need to use. 5:Compound/Polish Compound is more abrasive than Polish. With this in mind, depending on what you determined in the previous step, start with the least aggressive to get the job done. If it doesn't work to get all imperfections out then move up in the compounds (like 36 to a 38 in this kit). Once you get all the imperfections out that you can then move down to a polish and polish the entire vehicle. 6: Apply a sealant. I used Jet Seal recently. I personally like it. A sealant basically protects you paint from contaminate like water spots, dirt, and bird droppings. Jet seal also make your paint surface hydrophobic which is pretty nice. 7: Apply your favorite wax. You can use whatever wax you want. I personally like using a liquid wax. A liquid wax can be spread with a polisher with the correct pad. We are here to work smarter not harder. That's all there is to it really. Just note that not all imperfections will come out. On a neglected paint job I would expect to get out about 90% of the imperfections. Then there are some things that you can not remove with the products in this package. Deep scratches that are into the color coat or show metal will not come out with these products. Orange peel is another imperfection that you can not buff out completely. These two types of imperfections will either need to be wet sanded or the panel will have to be repainted. Do your research. Look up different techniques if you would like. But once you feel comfortable with what you know, compounding and polishing is easy. And this kit gives you nearly everything you need. *Tip* use a permenant marker to put a line on the backing paint. This will allow you to see if it is free spinning on the paint or not. **Update** I have used these 4oz bottles on 2 vehicles now and I still have product. These foam pads are great but I would invest in more if you can. These pads are great for the do it yourselfer but if you want to use these for a commercial purpose then you should get more pads. I have used my orange pad quite a bit as it is the one I use to get out most of the deep scratches. Honestly, if you were to get a better cutting pad you would be better off. The machine itself is still in great condition and I have not regreted buying this one bit. Update 06/13/21: ... well I used this kit several times and loved using it. I say "loved" because someone broke into my garage and decided they wanted to take it. I used if for 5 years and have bought different compounds and pads. It held up very well and I still highly recommend it. Chemical guys products are still by far the best products to work with and I highly recommend them. ... show more

  • This was a great kit !
Size: 11 ITEMS Style: KIT Pattern Name: Polisher
I am no amatuer at cut and buff. I needed a new DA and this was reasonable. I will keep this short and tell you the pro's and cons Pros Machine is nice and definately responsive and good orbital throw LOVE the pad cleaning soloution (wrote a review) The pad prep is nice too The pads are "ok" , half between pro and con the 4 step cut and polish bottle are awesome - I have NOT liked any of the new 3-1 stuff and have tried winding up back to 3M 1,2,3 - Tried these and I was impresssed - especially the final finish (check teh picture - single stage black, sanded to 5000 grit first then polished to perfection) Cons Wish the machine was trigger pull instead of on off but it does slow start (not instant revs) - not really a con, just a wish The pads like I said are "ok" but I really like another brand better but quite usable ... show more

  • Quality products for DIY projects.
Size: 11 ITEMS Style: KIT Pattern Name: Polisher
I was impressed by the quality of not only the DA polisher, but the polishing compounds are simply great (in my experience). I enjoyed the company's Youtube videos that instructed this newbe on how to go about doing the job right the first time. It may not be what a professional detailer would buy, but for DIY guys it fits the bill for occasional use. It also was handy for polishing the mineral spots off the windows of the car. ... show more
