We didn't care for the plether (vinyl) sofa in our camper, and this was perfect. Comes in pieces, which were easy enough to put together, between the color coded pieces, and illustrated instruction sheet. It took 1 1/2 hours to put together, but that also included taking the pieces out of the packaging, and organizing everything. Tools were included. Very well made, sturdy, and a beautiful plush mattress, with innersprings inside of it, very comfy and well made too. Before we bought this, I called Jerry's sales, and they were very friendly and helpful answering some questions I had about futons. They even answered their phone right away, as they did after we had it delivered (which came quickly) and I had a question about tools, since we were not opening the box till we got to our camper, and found everything was included! i was very skeptical with some reviews coming in that had broken or flimsy materials. My husband used the instructions and video included and had no problem assembling it. I examined wood slates and arm pieces and found it all to be very sturdy. The mattress is thick and comfy. I have not slept on it, but I just don't see that will be a problem either. I chose the black and it's just a great, deep black color and contrasts with the frame. If there were issues and the manufacture used them as lessons learned and made improvements then that would explain the past issues. ... show more

Love the look and feel of this piece! Took under a couple of hours to put together, and it looks and feels great! No one has slept on it yet but from what I can tell will make a very nice night of rest for our guests, couldn’t be happier!
