I ordered the 120g pink acrylic powder. Please note, this pink powder is an opaque milky pink when set. See picture. I was a little surprised by the opaque pink, vs the usual translucent pink. I was very excited by the size of this powder. My excitement turned to disappointment when testing this powder. It does not polymerize well. It doesn’t form the usual bead. It doesn’t spread well, and it doesn’t “self-level” well. I’m wondering what product the others tested (if they tested), because mine was not good. I wondered if my monomer was a problem, so I tried another one. Same thing. I then wondered if it was my brush, so I used a different powder with the same monomers. They worked fine, so it is definitely this powder that is the problem. I was able to do a sculptured nail to test the powder, as you can see from the picture, but it was not a pleasant experience. This claims to be self leveling, yet it still seems that you need to work it into the desired shape using slip and a brush, and then file it smooth before adding your topcoat.
