So, I’ve made the decision to start doing my own acrylic nails right here at home. This came after I had a few not-so-great experiences at the salon. Honestly, this monomer is pretty straightforward and user-friendly, which is a big plus for me. I can definitely handle it without too much trouble. However, my only real gripe is with the smell. It’s incredibly strong and seems to hang around for quite a while after I’m done. I don’t mind it too much myself, but it definitely doesn’t sit well with everyone else in the house. Whenever I’m in the middle of my nail routine, they all get pretty upset. Despite this, the product does work as it’s supposed to, and I’m happy with the results. I started doing my own nails again after 30 years of going to school for cosmetology. I bought a bunch of stuff in a hurry and started doing acrylic nails again. I was having such a hard time with the brush and the monomer, I knew it wasn't the acrylics. I bought Mia Secret clear, which with its own monomer it is like butter melting it's beautiful. Also Young Nails in Cherry Blossom, and V Beauty in Nude. I also ordered a new brush and this monomer. this monomer is a Cadillac compared to the monomer I had, which was Saviland. This with any acrylic powder works like magic, and again I'm back to the start line and it put my game up to 95% from about 45% a couple days ago. I will definitely order this again, absolutely. I will post a video when I get a chance soon, and the smell is absolutely different than any other monomer but I think it's less strong. Just my opinion though. ... show more
