The remote control for this is the weak point - I used it a couple of times and then promptly lost it. Wish there'd been a way to attach it to the tripod - that's the only reason I put that to 3 stars. Otherwise, it's lightweight and reasonably sturdy. I'm 6'2", and can raise the head up for easy pointing of my cell phone. The adjustments lock w/no problems, the legs move in and out smoothly and the clamps are more than adequate. I wouldn't recommend this for anything but the lightest camera-lens combos if you're into regular photography, but for a cell phone it's the perfect portable tripod. ... show more

I bought this to hold my phone to record my proposal. I stand 5’9”, when extended it sits eye level with me. You can record 360 degrees, seems pretty sturdy. Will also be using to record my daughters graduation next month using my Canon- I’ll update review afterward!

    • Very sturdy, well made and versatile
I tried another tripod with a very different design. Poor, went back to seller. This tripod is excellent. Note the braces are near the top with extended legs from there. This means when extended the legs provide a very wide base making the tripod very sturdy and no shacking. A must for photographic work. I use mine to film videos with my cell phone. This tripod is so sturdy there's no shacking. It also has adjustments in all directions so easy to put phone where you need it. Adjustments are infinite meaning there's not detent when you tighten a joint. This means cell stays where you point it. Other bands have detents and I find myself fighting with pointing camera at the right place. This tripod is also super easy to store and pack in its bag. I recommend it. ... show more

It has bubble levels on it to help you set it up and there is a little travel to the center column to help you fine adjust. I have no complaints. I love how the center screw can be actuated with a knob, I bought this for use with a laser level and it will be very helpful.
