  • Well Made, Sturdy and an Efficient Means of Storage.
The Torack Hanging Bike Stand arrives as a user assembled kit, securely packaged in bubble wrap, with relatively easy to follow instructions requiring a minimal amount of critical thinking. In addition, assembly is aided by the clear labelling of each main component; it’s like coloring by numbers. In the course of assembly there are basically three main groups that make up the structure; the base, composed of four pieces, the two vertical sections, each assembled from two parts, and the horizontal cross sections, the top piece that includes the bike hangers, and a lower cross section for stability and as the lower rest for the bikes. All of the parts are marked with letters that correspond to assembly illustrations on the instruction sheet. The entire bike stand is held together with the included nuts, bolts and washers. Also included are the two wrenches necessary to hold the bolt head while at the same time tightening the nut; in order to protect the stand’s finish, it’s advisable to hold the bolt head while turning the nut, under which is a washer. Doing the opposite will lead to scratches in the finish. In all, 32 bolts with their associated nuts and washers are used in the assembled bike rack. In other words, almost 100 small components. Fully assembled, the bike rack is 78” high x 44” wide x 33” in depth, not including any extra space taken up by the overhang of bikes. Despite its fabrication from solid, all-metal parts, fully assembled, and without bikes of course, its light enough to be picked up and moved easily. The base, made of four pieces, incorporates threaded leveling pads, similar to those found on refrigerators and washing machines. It is, without equivocation, a sturdy assemblage. It’s also cleverly designed to make the erector set assembly nearly foolproof. Although the Torack has four hangers to hang, in theory, four bicycles, it would be crowded to the point of cables getting caught on its neighbors’ handlebars and levers; this is an annoyance with even three bikes, as I found. On its Amazon PoP page, the rack is shown with four bicycles, hung alternately from their front and rear wheels; this may be the way to do it, but I only have three bikes and hanging them from the rear wheel takes more effort than from the front. I also find that when hung, the bikes want to slant to the right. I’m not saying that’s a problem, just an observation. The rear, lower horizontal bar, against which the lower bike tire will rest when hung, is adjustable up and down. I have it attached at its lowest setting, so perhaps its height affects the orientation of a hung bicycle; as of now, I can’t say. As I’ve already mentioned, the rack is sturdy enough and certainly gives the impression of something long lasting. Does it save space? Well, that depends on how you’ve been storing your bikes. In my case, up until now, I’ve just had the bikes leaning against one another supported by a wall in the garage. That being the case, the Torack takes up more garage space than before. On the other hand, immediate access to the bike of choice is enhanced, which is to say they’re better organized and less likely to cause damage to one another when hung on the bike rack. In the end, it comes down to priorities. The Torack makes efficient use of space, but not the most efficient use of space. The most economical use of space for bike storage I’ve used is inexpensive (if there is such a thing anymore) bicycle hooks threaded into overhead rafters, one for each wheel, then the bike hung upside down. This method uses zero floor space. On the other hand, the Torack is a more convenient method of storage, it isn’t necessary to life the bike overhead and upside down. Again, priorities. Based on the seller’s description and my experience, I have no reason to criticize or find fault with the Torack Bike Stand. It’s well made, easy to assemble, and an efficient means of storing and organizing multiple bicycles. ... show more

  • Good quality and good design - but directions could be better
I like this rack. Unlike other reviewers, this is not a sponsored review. I paid full price for this rack. I find it is a good design, sturdy and good quality. The only area for improvement would be better instructions. The diagrams are not clear, so it can be a bit difficult to get it right the first time. As with many things, after I had it mostly assembled, I saw my mistake and fixed it. Pros: - bikes hang from hook, rather than a horizontal hook that stresses the wheel and spokes. - tall enough to accommodate most bikes, yet also works well for mid-sized kids bikes - sturdy, good quality and good design Cons: - Really the only thing is the instructions need a bit of work ... show more

  • Super nice
We had a bike rack but my husband accidentally backed into it and broke it so we had to get another one. So as soon as I saw this I had to get it for a garage. These are a total game changer for organizing all your bikes and keeping your garage put together. This came well packed and secured with all the correct pieces and Hardware it was supposed to have with nothing missing or damaged from delivery. The instructions were clear and easy to read and understand so my husband had this fully assembled in no time. He said it was pretty simple and straightforward if you know what you're doing. Once it's all put together it's super heavy duty very well made and it was very simple and straightforward to get fully installed. Once it's all put together it looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. Definitely functions as intended and holds all of our bikes like I needed it to. It does not sway around and it's even better than I thought! We cannot be happier this is a great game changer for storage and an excellent space saver as well! Definitely worth every penny and quality alone does everything that it is supposed to do and matches up perfectly with the measurements so it fit exactly in the space I had for it! 10 out of 10 amazing quality product for sure ... show more

  • INCREDIBLY Strong - Perfect Size - Add Casters to Make It Even More Convenient
I've got a pretty small house and a one-car garage that doubles as our laundry room. With all members of our family now riding bikes, storage space is at a premium now more than ever. When I saw this rack, I thought it might be a great way to free up some floor space and also make accessing our bikes a bit easier, and I WAS RIGHT! This thing is fantastic. SOME TIPS: 1. It doesn't *REALLY matter which side you install the bolts and nuts / washers on. It can be a little confusing reading the directions, but the direction of the bots is really inconsequential. The thing you need to get right is the direction of the frame pieces. As long as the front is the front and the back is the back, you're fine to install the bolts however is easiest. 2. Adding casters makes this 100% more usable. The bottom feet seem to be a standard threading size, and I just happened to have some nice casters from a piano / keyboard stand still in the bag that luckily screwed right in to the same threads. It only added about 1.5 inches in height, but it made the entire setup SO much more useful. Now I can simply slide all 4 bikes around to another location in my garage to access tools that are behind them, or I can use the bike stand as a repair rack. This makes it infinitely easier to fill tires, tighten chains, etc while being able to spin and slide the bikes around at will. It is VERY stable and really does a great job at saving room. I HIGHLY recommend it! ... show more

  • Yes! 👍 👍
I ordered this so I’d have a solution for keeping our bikes accessible in the garage but also tidy and taking up less space. This was very easy to assemble and works exactly as I’d hoped. I use it for 2 bikes and 2 electric sit down scooters and it good. I’m very happy with this order. If you can’t mount bike hooks from your ceiling then this is a good option. ... show more
