I have had issues with the skin on the back of my neck being exposed to the sun. This hat is the perfect answer. It blocks the sun from my neck. It is lightweight (lighter than baseball caps I have used in the past). It also has a drawstring to tighten it to provide a perfect fit. It got a little dirty, and I put it in the washing machine and dryer. It came out looking like new. I was afraid that the bill of the cap would be damaged by the water.
