  • Great sound for the price!
The media could not be loaded. SEE ATTACHED VIDEO FOR A SOUND TEST. With this microphone, you actually get very good sound quality for the price! On my voice, the microphone sounded very balanced and clear, not muffled sounding at all. It also feels built like a tank. It has an all metal build, and it feels very similar in the hand to my Shure SM58 (the most popular dynamic handheld mic of all time). The On/Off switch is a nice touch as well. The mic also comes with an XLR to TS cable. It's very long and feels solidly built. Thickness is good, and there's some great strain relief on the TS side of the cable. For a $30 microphone, you are going to be making some compromises. I noticed 2 main areas where this microphone faltered: handling noise and plosive rejection. When you're using this microphone handheld, pretty much every little rub on the surface of the mic will be captured in the recording. This means you have to hold the microphone tightly in order to avoid handling noise being captured. Additionally, plosive rejection isn't very good either. If the microphone is directly in front of your mouth, every "P" and "B" will be captured as a large spike in sound. I would recommend picking up a separate windscreen for this microphone if that's a major concern for you. All-in-all, for only $30, this is a pretty dang good microphone. You will be making some compromises, but the sound quality definitely punches above it's weight. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great live mic
This microphone is really good for the price. It is a good entry level live microphone for performing. The only issue is the connection type it comes with is difficult to find if you are trying to integrate into using with a computer. It connects using a 6.5mm audio jack. There are adapters that exist but it is important to know it does not come ready for game audio or anything like that. ... show more

  • REALLY GOOD sound quality.
With microphones, sound quality matters the most above all else, obviously. Sound quality here is absolutely fantastic, super high-fidelity. You'll definitely want a wind screen with it, as your harsh syllables will peak and blow out. Otherwise, it's near-perfect for the price point. Handles outdoor, noisy situations really well too. Good for vocals, singing, interviews, narration, and so on. Build quality, also great. It's solid, hefty and has a nice sleek form factor. I use this mic almost every day, it's great. ... show more

  • Great budget-priced mic
Tonor is known for making fantastic budget-priced microphones and this one is no different. It's solidly made and comes with an XLR-to-1/4 inch cable. It sounds rich and picks up much of the surrounding noise so it's great for duets on karaoke night or for live band performances on stage. For vocals, I suggest buying a cheap foam cover to use as a pop-filter to reduce plosives as this thing is somewhat prone to them. Either that or don't say anything that starts with P or B. You need some kind of amplifier to get the mic to work properly, like a karaoke machine, audio interface, mixer, etc. I'm very happy with the mic and even use it occasionally on my YouTube videos. ... show more

  • Good Microphone for the price. Wish the cord was longer.
The microphone is what you'd expect for the money. The vocal range is good for speeches and Karaoke, but I wouldn't use it for recording like the singer in the ads. I am not a producer so maybe someone in the industry's can attest to that part. My only complaint is that 14 feet isn't QUITE long enough. I got this for a PA system and going from the speaker that is on a tripod stand down to the ground then back up the microphone stand there isn't enough length. This requires me to have to put the speaker right next to the podium. ... show more

  • Quality Microphone That's Affordable
I used a Focusrite audio interface to test this microphone. The microphone has a cardioid polar pattern, which means it picks up sound from the front and rejects noise from the sides and back. It records very clean audio with very little noise. The microphone comes with a 5 meter long cable that has an XLR connector on one end and a 1/4" jack on the other. It’s a quality microphone for the price. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an affordable vocal microphone. ... show more
