Replacing some swivel stools and shopped some home stores to find the prices exorbitant. Checked Amazon and found these. Very pleased with the price (for four!) and quality. They're not fancy, but simply and well made, minimal assembly, low profile, good rubber (not plastic) feet, and feel very solid (6'4" 280 lbs and these feel very solid.)

These are a cheaper version of a pricier/industrial bar stool you see in cafes/bars, but are totally fine in-home. You'll have to put them together, which is quick and easy, but just remember to line the grains of wood up in a uniform direction (horizontally or vertically) across all 4 before screwing the seats in if that visual matters to you (it does to me!). I don't think they'll last forever, but they're sturdy, steady, and look great for home use at the bar. I'm using them more to fill the space and to have extra seating on special occasions, so not too concerned with comfort or daily use. I got the matte black and am happy with that choice--it's modern and sleek and goes with everything.

I love the look of these chairs. The wood stain is so close if not identical to that on our floor, so that was a plus. Assembly was super easy and I like how if we really wanted to, we have the option of removing the backs of these later down the road when the kids get bigger and we don't have to worry about them falling back off of it. I do see some comments about these being really small - no, these are not the biggest seats, but most can fit on them for the amount of time you will need to sit on them. I (5'4) fit very comfortably on them, and my husband (over 6') says he wouldn't watch a game on them but they're just fine to eat on. They do have the plastic caps on the bottom of the stools but I added felt ones to them just to be extra safe with our hardwoods. One "downfall" of the assembly process was the backs not fitting to the stool, but all you have to do is just press that middle piece of the back a little bit to get it to join with the holes in the stool and then screw them in. After figuring that out on the first one, it was super easy! :) Would definitely recommend these!

The arstools came fast, undamaged and best of all exceeded my expectations in that they looked great. Good quality finish on the metal and the wood. Not a scratch or dent on the product. Assembly was a breeze. I do love that they provided 2 extra screws for the backrest. For all these years no product ever cared enough to add a few extra screws in case the customer loses one. But they do. Loved the product; Would buy again in a heartbeat!

Great quality chairs for an affordable price. I saw these same chairs on other sites and they were much more expensive for some reason. They looked the same! We have them at a bar height table behind our couch in the living room and it is perfect if you want to watch tv while you grab lunch. They were easy to put together. The size of the seating is small, but it works for our bottoms.

The bar stools are solid and very easy to assemble. My only complaint is that the seats are not if the best quality. They “appear” to be solid wood, but the are peeling on the front edges of 2 of the 4 stools we purchased. I will be replacing the seats.
