Finally, a case for the Fold 5 with everything I want! First off, the fit is perfect. I've tried 4 or 5 cases and nothing comes close to this one. The fit is perfect, and when the hinge protector moves back when folding it, it doesn't shift the screen protector. That alone is amazing. Next, it has the sliding camera cover, this should be standard from now on. It also has a slot for your S pen. Lastly, it has the pop out on the back, but can still wirelessly charge. The case is rugged but light weight. I think they could sacrifice adding some weight for extra durability. It's ridiculously light, but one of the few things that could be improved. It doesn't look too tough, so I'd still be careful with it,but it does look like it will give moderate protection. I love the look of it. Visually it looks great, functionally it performs, and one lastthing that not all case makers think of.... It actually lays flat on the back. I'm not sure how thats missed so often, but it is. I want my case to lay flat so it doesn't wobble when I tap on it, sitting on a flat surface. My only other suggestion is to do like other cases and offer a front cover without the screen protector. I'm not a fan of screen protectors, and it's annoying having to pop it out myself, then sand the edges to make sure it doesn't scratch my phone. Not many case makers offer that, but it's a small gesture that really improves the customizability. All in all, this is an amazing case that finally has everything I want in a case. I seriously thought I'd have to make my own if I wanted all of this. One of the few things that need to be fixed, the charging port was too small for me to put in my charger. Truly, I loved this case the minute I had it in my hands. I loved it even more mere moments later when I had it fully installed. Sooooo easy. Not only that, the built in screen cover, which I figured would be a weak point, WAS PERFECT! .... no rubbing, repositioning, dust problems, nuthin. It just works! Background: I'm not a kid. I had generation one cell phones... installation extra.... permanently mounted in my T Bird. So, I've had lots of phones and cases over the years. Fast forward to current times... this is my second Z-Fold. I had a 3 for 2 years before getting the 5, So I'm quite familiar with the phone and how various cases fit and function. This baby just does it. Much slicker than my last one. I've had people see it and not even know that it's a cover they're looking at and not just the phone itself. It's that good. It's that slick. Now.... full disclosure.... it's the first kickstand I've ever had. Cool. But I'll probably never use it. The camera cover? Great idea, but a pitb in practice. Double click for immediate access to the camera? Awesome! Wait... aww dang it, the cover is closed! Quick.. slide it.... wait... I can't... it's stuck.... ok, not really stuck, but it's tight and there's nothing to grasp to slide it.... ughhh. Ok, I got it. Now, make tbe baby do what he was doing 2 minutes ago again, please? Anyway. It's there. It works. I'm not going to be stupid and deduct a point just because I'll probably leave it open forever. I think I have an extra camera lens protector from my last phone, come to think of it. Oh,, one more thing... really a kinda important thing that I'd suggest to the manufacturer. With my last phone, I could set it down on the polished wooden arm of my medically necessary massage chair, and it would happily sit there all day. With this one... Zip! Woops! It immediately slips off. So, point is, it could really use some more grippy material, at least in enough spots to give it a little more friction. I figure out and fix everything and anything, yet I don't have any brilliant ideas for this challenge yet. I know 23 ways to give it some grip, however, I want to keep this one pretty as well. Just got and installed the case. Super easy even for me. Looks great and for those of you who care about such things, it isn't overly bulky, but does add to the overall weight. Several have commented here that the belt clip is not useful or tends to break. Unfortunately I don't own a belt so I can test this. While I do hate plastic screen protectors, this one seems to be of a lot better quality and does not interfere with the phones touch response. The volume buttons are harder to work, but I very rarely have cause to mess with them. The fingerprint button has plenty of space so you can get "fingerprinted" with no problems. Since I'm not going to stand and drop my brand new phone to test the cases protective attributes I'll give an update on that. Now, the only thing so far I have an issue with is the slide camera protector. It slides back and forth and will not stay closed. No worries. A little duct tape fixed that. The included S-Pen adapter came installed and although I don't have or plan to get one, the extra bulk it provides makes hanging onto the phone a lot easier. The case itself is grippy and doesn't want to slide easily from your hand or a surface that's tilted a little. All in all I am very happy with it thus far. 👍 Update: (4/27) As several warned about the problems with the screen protector when the Z5 Fold is open has already started. The flimsy black strip around the screen has broken and pokes out making further damage a certainty. I put a small strip of painters tape to hold it in position which seems to be working fairly well. It'll have to be replaced every so often, but not a biggie. ... show more
