First, this is NOT an outside drone. This is an INSIDE drone. If you fly it in the great outdoors, kiss it goodbye. It comes with three batteries. and battery life is pretty good. I get 6-8 minutes of flight per battery. The controller layout is very intuitive and everything is well placed. It's also really easy to keep track of drone orientation because it has a white light in front and red light in back. As some have said it sometimes goes out of control. I call this "Moth Mode". Moth Mode is why you don't take it outside. It is most often brought on by banging the drone into several objects in quick succession. To get it out of Moth Mode the drone needs to be level and in one place for about 5 seconds. To get it to do that, hold the left stick in the Down position till the drone settles down, then hover it. Or just wait till it bang into something and falls to the ground. When it comes to being an inside drone, this thing is AWESOME! If drone abuse were I crime I'd be in jail because I have beaten the snot out of this thing. I deliberately crash it so I can learn crash avoidance. It takes a pounding and still works. I have made it fall 12 feet into hardwood floors, multiple times. The worst that has happened was the propeller got caught in the plastic protector. And that's an easy fix. Overall I'm really happy with this little guy. It's durable enough and has enough flight time to get some meaningful practice in. So I'm actually getting better at flying it. And since I'm not afraid of crashing it, I can practice things I wouldn't otherwise. Overall I recommend this drone for indoors only. ... show more

This thing is a blast. Nothing like chasing the stars of "The Adventures of Purrdy & Big Boy" around the house! I actually bought this little drone just to get the cats used to the noise, because my cats make videos climbing crazy trees, and I want to use my DJI Mini 4 pro for 3rd person views up in the tree canopies. Oddly though, they are more afraid of this drone. I think it's the pitch of noise that it makes. It's very whiney, but that's to be expected from props this size. There are a few small issues though. First, the drone never hovers still. I'm not sure if it's the sticks or the motors, but as long as you man the controls well, it fits great. Second, the charging cable never turns green when the charge is finished. You unplug it from the battery and then plug it back in and then it turns green to let you know the battery is charged. And finally, when steering the drone with the left stick, it is too easy to move the stick up or down at the same time. None of these are deal breakers though. You just need to be aware and no what to expect, then you can correct the flight and be cautious. Like others have said, this is an indoor drone. So I wouldn't recommend taking it outside, as a 2 to 3 mph wind carries it off rather easily. ... show more

Very durable, I lost track of how many times the kids ran these into something or they fell from 8 feet while flying. Charge time is up to an hour and flight time is 5-6 minutes, so you will want to consider more batteries and more charge cords so you don't have to charge them one at a time (both on Amazon, but expensive relative to cost of original set). Battles were great fun. They do act weird and lose control after running into things, then you have to power off and back on to reset. ... show more

Bought these for my 11 year-old grandson. He has flown a lot of drones for several years. He was able to fly these well immediately out of the package. We liked the 'toss and fly' feature. They're also very maneuverable and stable in flight. When using the air combat feature, you get a shooting sound and, if you hit, a light flashes on the other drone. But, they don't actually get force-landed; they keep flying. There were the usual issues with controller pairing, but nothing serious. My biggest complaint is that the propeller guards are too fragile. We've had breaks in several places. The product included several replacement propellers but no replacement guards. So far, I've been able to repair with super glue and our drones are still flying, but I'd like to see propeller guards that could stand up to a few crashes. ... show more
