I purchased this bag, October 2021, and have used it regularly since receiving it. It’s well made, nice looking, functional, roomy, and durable. This week I learned how much protection it provides to it’s contents. I usually carry my 16” Samsung laptop and my 12.9” Apple iPad Pro in the main compartment. Monday, I was involved in a vehicle accident that caused the contents of the vehicle to fly violently across the vehicle, including my Tomtoc laptop bag, with my laptop and iPad inside. There was enough force to rip the strap from the bag (apparently the strap hung on part of the seat) yet neither my laptop nor my iPad were damaged. Bought this to replace an older model of Tomtoc bag that had a broken zipper. This version is a straightforward improvement—dimensions are the same, and it can snugly fit my A1502 Macbook Pro with a case on it no problem. Quality is overall excellent for the price. It comes with several improvements from the old model, including more color options, metal claps for the shoulder strap, an extra compartment on the back, and fabric padding on the strap (the old model used faux leather, which quickly began to shed). Only nitpick is that the older model had metal zipper tabs, whereas this one has plastic. Everything else is an improvement on an already good bag. Highly recommend. ... show more

I bought this for my new Macbook because I am going to be traveling and writing. First, the design is just great. The zippers are well-sewn, slide easily and close without a gap. The two pockets (one large, one small, are great for storing the plug, cable and strap when not in use. The strap is wide, padded and very comfortable for this slim line vase. Best part of all it opens from the side - very easy to slide in and out- and the padding inside INCLUDING the corners is wonderful. This is my second tomtoc bag and it's just as good as the first. Checked the interior dimensions and they were just slightly bigger than my new ASUS Zenbook 14x Q420. I thought it would be hard finding a case that fits well being that it has a 14.5 in display. Fits like a GLOVE! Haven't dropped it and don't plan on doing so, but I wouldn't be too worried if I did. I purchased the dark blue laptop shoulder bag for my Macbook Air 15” M2 2023. The laptop fits perfectly inside the bag. It’s snug but not too tight. The inside of the bag is very soft, plush & also overlaps the side of the laptop below the zipper so it does not scratch it. All 4 corners have reinforced padding & the area running between the corners is also nicely padded. The 2 front pockets are roomy & keeps your stuff organized. There is also a thin rear pocket along the length of the bag for notebook paper or a note pad. The handle looks & feels like leather & the adjustable shoulder pad is nicely padded & removable. The outside of the bag is a nice vibrant dark blue, is not bulky looking & is water resistant. There is no funny chemical smell like some other brands of bags. The TomToc MCB Pro bag is very slim, yet has good padding and corner protections for the laptop. There's only room for the barest necessities, including the charger, a docking dongle, and a few cables. The laptop compartment zips from the side, and the laptop slips in. It's not likely to slip out if you forget to zip it. I would like it better if the zippers had two pulls. I find myself looking for the tab. This is my second Tomtoc case for my same laptop. The first lasted nearly 5 years. The main zipper finally broke. I looked for another type but I liked the way the laptop fit in this case the best. It’s protected with a velvet like inside and good external pockets for cords and other items. They improved this case by adding an outside sleeve pocket for papers and strengthened the strap. This was purchased in hopes an older ThinkPad Yoga 370 3 in 1 slim laptop would fit. It's a perfect fit holding the laptop securely in place with extra protection around the laptop perimeter. The two zippered compartments are a nice feature. I believe the design attempt was to provide the biggest compartments as possible. This design makes it a little difficult to locate the zipper pull. I'll be adding zipper pulls which should solve that small issue. This has five starts in my book as a result of the quality, slim design, material and overall looks.
