The bar for a product like this is fairly low -- it just needs to be the right shape and not be hollow. This one fits the bill. Be aware that this is for the (old) 3DS XL only. That's the model with a circle pad on the left side, only two triggers, the game card slot on the back, and the stylus slot on the right. If you have ANY other model then this stylus will NOT fit properly because every model has a different sized stylus slot. If you have a DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, or New 2DS XL, then THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT STYLUS. The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I was hoping for! Please note that this is for the Nintendo 3DS XL/LL. It will not fit a "New" 3DS or "New" 3DS XL. That being said, it fits perfectly into my 3ds xl! Clicks in just like an original. I bought this 3ds xl used and it didn't come with a stylus. I wanted an opinion that was cheap and that didn't come with a million when I only really needed one and maybe a couple replacements. These are a perfect option. Great price and perfect fit.     • Finally have a stylus that fits!
The media could not be loaded. Fits perfectly for the old model of the 3Ds XL. The stylus fits into its slot very snugly, and it doesn’t slip or fall out no matter how much I shake my 3Ds. Each and every one of the stylus work fine on the touch screen.

    • Alright but doesn't work on New 3DS xl.
I suppose it's my fault for not checking, but I got this for my New 3DS XL, and it was way too long. I didn't know that the New XL and the default XL had different stylus sizes. It still works on the screen it just doesn't fit inside the holder.

    • Doesn't fit in the stylus slot.
These styluses work just as well as anything else, but they don't fit into the slot on the Nintendo 3DS XL. Not sure if that is because I have the "NEW" one or if they are just poorly manufactured. They are good enough for what I need.
