Having retired from commuting for decades, I finally have time for birding and joined National Audubon Society, American Bird Conservancy, Great South Bay Audubon Society and Cornell Bird Laboratory. I managed to find many beautiful Bird tee shirts on Amazon. For some reason, all the tee shirts with Chickadees on them have included some corny message and look rather cartoonish. It occurred to me to search "Chickadee Hat". I struck gold in the form of this hat. I loved it the minute I laid eyes on it and kept going back to my shopping list until my resolve wore down and I just bought it. It came much more quickly than I expected, in perfect shape. It is not as bright a green as the photo shows, but an olive drab more suitable to birding and hiking. It is very well made and the adjustable clasp in the back is wonderful. I wish all my ball caps were constructed this way. Tom's Feeders website actually sells many more hats of Birds, Reptiles, Plants and Insects, all beautifully embroidered like this one!
