I wanted to replace an old system with a modern one that connects to the internet and sends notifications to my phone. I do not need a monoring service or direct calls to the police. I just want to know when someone enters my house or if something happens there. The old system called me on the phone when it was tripped. It was not working properly and it was outdated. This new system does everything the old one did and it notifies me throught the internet. Once I figured out how things work, it was easy to set up, but the instructions are not very good. When setting up you have to allow the device to send NOTIFICATIONS. This is how it messages your phone. Also, with respect to the water detectors, the description on Amazon says nothing about the Tolvivov water detectors linking, to the alarm system, but they do. You are also allowed to set any device to notify when you are home, away, or always, which is good with the water detectors in my basement. I want to know about leaks when I am home or away. The system links to Alexa and, besides the fobs, Alexa is a great way to control the system. The alarm is very loud, but there is a setting to silence it and just get notified by phone. This will be good when I am away and the person checking my house forgets to disarm the system. The old system would send my helper into a panic when the alarm went off. I recently purchased the Wi-Fi Door Alarm System and I must say it is very impressive for its performance and installation. The alarm siren makes a loud sound that can be heard from anywhere in my home when there are potential intruders. It took a couple of tries to get the sensors to line up properly, partially because some of my doors are "non-standard" and partially because I thought I had the sensors set correctly and then realized I didn't. Once I got them set correctly, it was easy-peasy. The app and remotes work well, and the base connected seamlessly to my wireless network. After purchasing some other sensors that would not work I decided to give these a try. The intall was easy. I did have hiccup on the sensors not lining up perfectly on 2 windows but after playing around with them they finally paired up.

When I read the reviews for this system I was a little apprehensive about purchasing due to “difficult installation and set-up.” I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy the set-up was. In all it took me about 25 minutes to have it up and running. It works perfectly and the best part is I don’t have a monthly bill. Technology has essentially replaced a call center and cut out the middle man. If the system is tripped I’m immediately notified on my phone. When I first saw this item I thought wow this is going to be great. Not really looking to pay $400 +for a setup with a monthly payment this is the next best option. Now I wasn't expecting something five star because I already have camera set up throughout the perimeters but I just wanted to be notified if someone was leaving or coming in the house. I noticed within less of a month of me having the device it kept going offline in the middle of the night. I thought maybe it was the internet but I checked everything else and it was only the base that wasn't working. Secondly when I received the base it has a cord attached to it so you have to have it plugged in. It does say it has up to 8 hour battery life in case of outage. Thirdly the volume is not that high if you have two floors. Not great if you want to scare someone off for your neighbors to hear when you're not home. We tried to see if maybe we can get the alarm to go through all the Google speakers but don't see that being an option. If you live and maybe a one bedroom or studio this is a good option. On the plus side it's easy to use with your phone and it has a key fob to also arm and disarm. ... show more
