I purchased this door sensor alarm so that I can keep an eye on when doors are opened on my house. Unfortunately this system doesn't monitor all activity passively. In order to get notifications of door activity, I have to leave the system armed all of the time. Additionally, the speaker on the alarm its self, is VERY loud, which is good when needed. but since I have decided to use the system as a door monitor, I have to leave it armed all of the time and the alarm is too loud for just simple monitoring. It does have a mute mode which is where I leave it most of the time and that works quite well for me. Overall I like the product and think it would be a fine option for anyone looking for an emergency alarm for when they are either away or for overnight protection. ... show more

This wasnt very easy to set up, the alarm sound is very loud. There wasn't anything really telling you which was what so setting up and naming locations created a lot of loudness. However it works great and definitely gives peace of mind

My mother has dementia and during a recent family issue, I need to move in and care for my mother temporarily. Due to her mental state she wanders in the late night. I was worried that she would wander outside while I was asleep, so I installed these door alarms. Another perk to this door alarm is that I am able to go run quick errands and set the alarm from my phone. One day I was about 3 minutes away when the alarm notified me that the front door had opened. I rushed home to find my mom inside as though nothing had happebd. I didn't say anything to her about the alarm but she told me she went out on the porch to look at her flower. It give my mom the sense of freedom she needs and the assistance I need! ... show more

This home security system by Toliviviov is much more capable then you'd have thought coming from a brand that no one has really ever heard of. Now that's not a detraction rather a compliment. I've been without a home security system for a while. I had been using Piper, a stand alone one piece home security system that you set up and is self contained. But it eventually died and the Piper company through mergers and such has seemingly gone out of business; you can't even find them listed on Amazon anymore. So I've done without until some family friends asked for my help in home security. Researching and purchasing for them was the imputes I needed to look for myself and I came to the conculusion that there are a lot of DIY systems out there running the gambit from cheap to expensive, but you're seemingly paying for the same sensors and the app each uses does largely the same thing. Surprisingly the Tolviviov is surprisingly robust and capable. It came boxed securely and quickly, the sensors were easily paired and I had the system up and running in almost no time. I've since looked into getting water/leak sensors cause you really have no excuse for inexpensive sensors to alert you to a leak or a busted hose/pipe before water damage can occur. I've quickly expanded to fourteen sensors and you can have a total of twenty as listed. The Tolviviov people were quick to respond when I asked a question. The only negative thing I have to say is that the listing that I purchased had a motion detector and a stand alone battery powered keypad. However what I actually received contained additional door/window sensors and not the motion detector or keypad. I can only assume a substitution was made(?) but I'm not really worried about it as the motion detector is only twelve dollars plus shipping should you wish to purchase it and also I can easily use the included remote and the app to control the system, the keypad was just going to be back up. But I would've wished for both of them to be included as described. The only pressing concern I do have is that the ring on the base unit is only partially illuminated... I had thought it was some kind of battery charge indicator as the base unit has a battery back up, but it is in four segments and one segment is fully lit and the other three are only partially lit. I'm not sure if something's going on or I'm not doing some part of the set up (reference pic)... But the home security system from Tolviviov is available under a few different names, but you can't seem to go wrong with purchasing it. You should think about when considering it as a purchase, what are you really buying? I mean there's nothing wrong with buying a name brand system from the likes of Nest, Ring, Eufy, ADT or Simply Safe. But the door/window sensors are largely the same, there's only so many ways to make a microchip sense a magnet and put a battery on it after all. What you're really paying for is the name on the system and what you hope is a capable app. If you don't mind buying generic, so long as it has a capable app which this does, you can secure your property and save a bundle... ... show more

With 3 young childern it is a top priority. Easy set up with quick installation. download an app plug the hub into the wall. sync it to your internet and install the door alarms your done. Very loud alarms all of which you can adjust to your liking. Only down side would if you forgot it was armed the alarm will sound very loudly possibly waking up your kids family spouse etc. ... show more

I wanted to replace an old system with a modern one that connects to the internet and sends notifications to my phone. I do not need a monoring service or direct calls to the police. I just want to know when someone enters my house or if something happens there. The old system called me on the phone when it was tripped. It was not working properly and it was outdated. This new system does everything the old one did and it notifies me throught the internet. Once I figured out how things work, it was easy to set up, but the instructions are not very good. When setting up you have to allow the device to send NOTIFICATIONS. This is how it messages your phone. Also, with respect to the water detectors, the description on Amazon says nothing about the Tolvivov water detectors linking, to the alarm system, but they do. You are also allowed to set any device to notify when you are home, away, or always, which is good with the water detectors in my basement. I want to know about leaks when I am home or away. The system links to Alexa and, besides the fobs, Alexa is a great way to control the system. The alarm is very loud, but there is a setting to silence it and just get notified by phone. This will be good when I am away and the person checking my house forgets to disarm the system. The old system would send my helper into a panic when the alarm went off. I can see that this very affordable system is going to serve me very well. I hope my added instructions will be helpful to other buyers. ... show more
