This TOLSEN 89-piece tool set has everything I needed for basic household repairs and projects. The toolbox is sturdy and keeps everything organized nicely. Most of the tools feel solid and work well, especially the hammer and screwdrivers. However, a few pieces like some of the drill bits and hex keys seem a bit flimsy compared to higher-end tools. Still, for the price, it’s a great value and perfect if you’re just starting to build your toolkit.

I was hoping to consolidate my toolbox—mostly just donate/leave outside for free any specialized equipment I have no need for—when the opportunity to try this entirely new tool set arose. So far, for every good tool in this set there is another that is laughably bad. Pros: Organized set; pretty decent spread of tools, barring one specific omission; some of these work just fine! Screwdriver and bits are good to go, the socket wrench set as well. But... Cons: ...some of the tools are goofy in how bad they are. Look at this hammer! Look at it! It's got a noticeable gap between the metal hammer head and decidedly cheap plastic handle. No wonder the hammer specifically warns you to wear safety goggles—you're going to lose an eye otherwise when you use it once the hammerhead invariably flies off. Cons (-tinued): The case is simply too soft/thin a plastic for its purpose. The exterior hard shell is fine, but the interior shell bends/dents as you place tools back in. Simply put, that should not be happening. In short, there are some MAJOR drawbacks that result in my not recommending this as an all-exhaustive toolset, as some of the tools (in addition to the construction quality of its case) make it a non-starter for me. But if you need to fill some gaps in your tools as a non-professional homebody, I don't know. Maybe get it on sale?
