I find these incredibly useful in holding bits of wood in place while drilling or sanding or gluing. And for holding a straight edge in place while cutting. This instance of these type of clamps is well made and has the expected grip. Bought knowing the problem with pads coming off. Other than that, perfect for my needs. Drilling a small hole each side and inserting a 3/8" screw solved that permanently. The pads still swivel and hold positions better. $2 for screws and 10 min after arrival, done. Good to go.
