Our local park has a painted rock "snake" with a note asking you to help him grow. We ordered this to do just that and it was a big hit! Would also make a great gift.

This set is okay for a few hours of fun. My grandbabies love painting anything and they love rocks so this was a fun kit for them. They did use all the paint and of course started arguing over who was going to get the last of it. The other items that come with this set were enjoyed as well. The only thing I can say negative about this is that they need to add a little more paint and a sealing solution to keep the paint from coming off. We liked the kit for the most part and would suggest it for others to buy.

I have a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old and this little kid keeps my kids so busy I love it. They've had a lot of fun using all of the different things in the kit to create the most amazing rocks. We were able to put them on the wall in the room so they get charged up and they can watch them with their falling asleep. It has lasted a long time for just they two children. We do one about once a week. Definitely a great value for how long it lasts.

I used these for an arts and crafts workshop. It was wonderful. They come with paint, jewels and stickers. The rock were small enough to paint and add some details. They made for an excellent creative time. I brought some extra acrylic paint and hodge podge glue for sealing. I would definitely repurchase.

I think this a decent kit. It came with everything listed, but there were a few things I personally didn't like. The paint comes in little pots. This is pretty standard, but what you get isn't really enough to paint all the included rocks. They don't include enough paint to "prep" the rocks with a base coat of white or black, so it takes several coats to make the design you painted not look thin and washed out. I don't like the brush variety. There's only 2, one flat for covering large areas,and one very thin tipped for fine detail. They are a step up from the typical one color plastic brushes with black bristles, so that's a plus. I just wish there had been one or 2 between micro detail and broad strokes. I think the rocks are a little bit on the small side, but for little hands that's a plus. I likes the extra stuff thats included. The transfers are a nice touch. You can get a cute, detailed rock without needing to be very skilled. The little jewels are a fun way to add more individually to your project. The glow in the dark paint came in squeeze tube, so there isn't great control, but it was still fun. I don't recommend these for small children. Maybe 6 and up with an adult helper. These kept 4 kids, 7-11, entertained for about an hour with no need for adult help. I added 12 brushes so there would be enough to go around, plus add some extra variety. I also put some bottles of acrylic craft paint out, as well as extra paint pallets. This kit is definitely designed for one person to do.

I teach at a small Christian school and want to do some craft stations the two days before we go out for Christmas break. The items contained in this kit will work well for a 2-3 person station. The paint brushes that come with the kit aren't the greatest, but I have others my students can use. From what I can tell, all I need to provide is cups of water to clean paint brushes and a roll of paper towel to dry the brushes. I'm quite confident the kids will really enjoy doing these. Suggestions are provided for how to paint them. I'm going to do a page of Christmas ideas for them to try painting as well. Looking forward to seeing their finished products.
