Good inexpensive replacement bumper but does not fit the body lines on the ends as well as the the original (as others have stated). Horrible directions but easy enough to figure out and install by myself. Had to install a new trailer hitch at the same time so removing the spare helped a lot.

Item quality seems ok, decent paint finish though i topcoated mine with bedliner to give it a textured finish matching my front winch bumper. Instructions were ok but could have been more detailed. I mounted this by myself but was able to align the fitment to “acceptable” meaning it does not sit nearly as tight to the body lines as my beat up 17yr old OEM bumper. It sits noticeably lower and the corners protrude away from the body on the sides (about 1” too wide at each corner). For the price i’ll live with the minor fitment issue because its already been modified and mounted but if i had a do-over i’d likely save a bit more and buy an offroad bumper. Potential buyers look at the photos others have posted before deciding on this. Some of the fitment photos others have posted seem a lot worse than mine, i found that pushing upwards with my knees while tightening the bolts from underneath resolved the majority of the sloped or angled fit some others have posted, just wish the corners fit closer to the body. I was able to put enough pressure on the ends to bend them slightly inward but still, photos are after that was done… ... show more

The finish is horrible… the powder coat is scratched and full of swirl marks. The plastics where loose and cracked in two spots. The nuts and bolts are definitely low quality. Super disappointed… it’s was a needed purchase and I couldn’t return it and get replacement in time so I kept it.

Bumper was complete as described, all trim and hardware was present. If you have the Tacoma factory hitch you will not need the brackets. I stripped my trim off and painted the bumper to match my truck. If you're not changing the color, I would suggest that you tighten all the bolts and maybe even put a little Loctite on. Some of my trim bolts were laying in the bottom of the box and all of them were just finger tight. The bumper sits about an inch and a half lower than OEM but all and all good value and easy to install. It does also come with new ag lights and built-in tag bracket which was a surprise. ... show more

    • Mounts on bumper were narrower than truck frame rails on 2009 Toyota Tacoma standard pickup

The frame rails on the truck, where the bumper brackets fit between, are about 37" wide. The brackets on the bumper are about 36-1/2" wide. I had to use 1/4'" of washers on each side to fill the space so that I could tighten the bolts with minimal deformation of the bumper brackets. The overall quality is far below that of the original. The metal ends are flexible with your hand. The plastic end pieces had 3 attaching nuts (out of 4) that were loose. The forth nut was missing. There was a bag of extra hardware (with no instructions and, normally, no need for extra hardware because the bumper came assembled), which had a nut - so I could put it on and tighten all 4 nuts, but I had to dismount the bumper to gain access and then install it a second time. The installed product looks ok but I question how it will stand up if it gets tapped. I would have returned this item if it weren't for the time, effort and physical discomfort of removing it, packaging it and transporting it to the shipper. ... show more
